Shuhari Martial Arts | Karate MMA

An excellent club, have been a student of Shuhari MMA for almost a year now. Every lesson we have is fun and interesting, everyone is very respectful and supportive from our Sensei to Senpai to Student Leaders to the Students. It has been an incredible experience so far, I look forward to the future not just my own journey but also the journey of our club!

Shuhari Slough dojo is awesome; fully padded walls and floor that help protect students as they learn an assortment of striking and grappling techniques, along with various boxing bags to practice on. The sensei instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to assist us students, teaching us new skills and fine tuning our techniques. It’s a great community of staff and students, I strongly recommend it.

I have trained with this club for many years and have travelled the length of the country many times to do so. This tells you something about the high quality of its instructors and people. An excellent martial arts club, teaching practical self-defence in an inclusive environment. The grading system allows students to train and develop at their own pace and ultimately attain some incredible achievements – I have even been privileged enough to have been a part of a Shuhari black belt grading – what an honour!

I've been training with the club in Maidenhead for 4 years with my 13yo son after moving from west London. It's been great getting active and learning new life skills together and even more importantly, has helped him grow more confident in responding to confrontation at school (something that now no longer happens!). My 8yo daughter has been with the club for almost 2 years and it has given her a great outlet for all her extra energy!The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable, the training is suitable for all ages and abilities and it is the highlight of our week.Thank you Shuhari!

Shuhari Martial Arts is an amazing club. My boys’ train with them and over the time they have grown confident and learnt self defence. They look forward to training every week and my younger one is very fond of Sansei Majid. This club is family friendly and the atmosphere is lovely, everyone is treated with respect.

Amazing family friendly dojo for learning karate. Excellent family environment for mixed classes with kids and adults together. Great for kids confidence and learning self defence. The Slough dojo is fully padded on floors and walls. We feel part of the Shuhari family and train twice a week and both my children and I look forward to it. Our teaching sensei makes the sessions fun and inclusive but are also challenging. I would recommend the Shuhari club to anyone wanting to train in karate.

Shuhari Self Defence Martial Arts club, I recommend it to Kids. My Son as part of club for past more than 3 years and he completed 3 stages with more confidence and passion The instructors are supportive and approachable. I believe it has been core to the self-discipline and this is one of the best martial arts clubs.

Shuhari Slough dojo is an excellent karate school. My son has been attending for the past many years and he has been learning so many great things useful to life not only about physical health, security but also about mental growth , patience and personality development related things as well. He loves to attend the classes . This school provides qualified teachers with structured curriculum and neat progress path . This helps students to achieve their goals in the right direction. My two sons have been training with Shuhari for 3 years now. The have both gained confidence, mental and physical strength. The classes are very friendly and emphasis is on respect. All grades train together and senior students mentor the junior grades regardless age. All students are encouraged to progress at their own pace and abilities and there is no pressure placed on the students if they are struggling to progress- rather they are encouraged and mentored more to help them. My eldest son has autism and dyspraxia- his coordination and strength have improved at a phenomenal rate. The sense of camaraderie he has gained are unmatched. My younger son has suffered with bullying and now has so much more confidence at school. I highly recommend this school for all - it is inclusive for all regardless of age and ability.

Shuhari Self Defence is an amazing place for development. I started there as a 8 year old and now achieved my black belt. I have been training there for over a decade and I am so thankful for everyone who has supported me. Without the support from Sensei Olgun and everyone, I wouldn’t be this confident as an individual. I have developed so many vital skills which have helped me in many different ways. I would definitely recommend new people to join. It is a huge family!
