We approach Daniel with a specific project in mind. We wanted some bedroom furniture in an art deco style and to a design that we had seen previously.Daniel was incredibly enthusiastic and dedicated to the task in hand. He was able to not only engage with our ideas but also add his own thoughts by suggesting different materials and design options.Once agreed he put his tremendous skill to work and with great care and diligence constructed exactly what we wanted.We were, and remain, delighted with what he has made for us and would not hesitate to recommend him.

The cupboards and shelves made are perfect and were custom made to fit into a corner of my Victorian house. So much careful consideration was given to how the cupboards were to be used, what would be stored inside them and ease of access. I have never had anything custom built before and I am delighted with the results. Daniel also made suggestions/brought lots of ideas. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Athanor Design Studio.The end result is excellent.

Daniel is a very talented and passionate master craftsman. His studio/ workshop in Eastbourne is a very relaxed and creative space he can assist in achieving a design direction together. What do I recommend snout Athanor design?The sheer quality of Daniel Ruckstuhl work.He built me 2 bespoke wardrobes to match my existing furniture and even came up with an ingenious idea to help me have bedside tables in them which due to my room configuration I’ve never been able to have.The detail and the quality and his attention to detail in my opinion, I’ve never seen before.Thank you I love them.

I live in a small 19th century flat in the city centre (Strasbourg) and Athanor Design found some great solutions for my lack of storage space by creating custom-made cupboards and cabinetry that looked as if they had always been a part of the flat. Functional, well-made and attractive pieces.

Daniel built us a floating shelf for the bathroom. He helped us with the design and showed us some CAD drawings. His final design was much improved from my original idea. The shelf he built is of excellent quality. No detail was too much. It is even scribed at the back so it fits perfectly against our uneven wall. The mitres on the plywood are a thing of beauty. I highly recommend Daniel and Athanor design.

We commissioned two units of shelves with cupboards below to house a good proportion of our (too) many books and to tidy up our sitting room. Daniel designed the units to meet our needs and to enhance the room. He helped us choose a wood we liked and could afford, and then made and fitted them for us. We are delighted with the results.
