Friendly, helpful staff always willing to offer help and advice. I would like to mention Sandra Hunter in particular. I had previously bought cushions in this garden centre and wanted to buy more but they were sold out. Sandra kindly offered tocheck otber stores' supply. A success.

Afternoon tea was amazing. Very impressed indeed. Really good value. Luxury tea was £11 and the standard was £8.50. Couldn't complain about the staff they were fab.

Great garden centre, great cafe, great selection of plants, compost, garden equipment, furniture etc and a good range of other items like gifts and household items. In addition to that very friendly and help staff.

Popped in today with my elderly parents for lunch, we were snapped at by the lady serving that ‘she only had one queue’ and was going to serve someone else. We stood at the hot food section and the gentleman stood by the sandwich’s. Fair enough, we weren’t queue jumping, just stood waiting patiently. Dad asked a question about the food as the lady approached and she snapped again that she was busy. Why approach him if she is busy with someone else just to snap at him? We left and ate in a local pub with friendly staff. Dobbies have lost 4 customers today. Very sad!

We regularly meet at Dobbies and have lunch, so December was no different. This time, I had the 2 course Christmas special, and it was lovely and very reasonably priced. It's much better than some pubs I have been to lately. Well done to all the staff

Always loved this Dobbies. Plenty of flowers to choose from. Everything seems maintained and looked after. Coffee shop is great value for money and all the staff are helpful and friendly. Lovely outside area to sit and have a coffee. If you sign up for a loyalty card you get 10% off and two free drinks from the cafe so I recommend getting that.

The garden centre is the same as it always been nothing to bad to say but the cafe is another story. The women serving us were so lovely and friendly but the cafe definitely needs a different structure and at least one worker dedicated to cleaning as they were all rushing serving food/ drink and nothing was being done about the actual restaurant floor. To sit you had to move other people's trays full of dirty dishes onto other dirty tables, not to mention the stains and crumbs on the tables left behind. The actual floor had crumbs and food bits everywhere it was very poor hygiene and there were no clean forks. The prices are obscene. Almost £4 for a single empire biscuit, £8 for a toastie and £3 for a 500ml of pop.Was a good trip until the cafe, most of the issues would be solved with 1-2 more members of staff. I hope it's resolved in the future as it was a lovely place to go.
