Sherburn Aero Club
This has always been a really friendly and busy airfield. There is a small young kids play area with views of the aircraft. There is a cafe also provided. The very friendly flight desk also allows enthusiasts to be escorted round the hangers for taking the numbers or photos.There is usually an annual open day fly in (26/8 this year) which attracts many light aircraft all easily seen from the low fence.Many airfields could learn from sherburn.

This place is awesome! Another gem I've only just discovered.Staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming.Good tasty choices of food for big and small appetites, and yummy dessert options too.Love that you can sit outside eat, drink and play whilst watching the planes.The play area has so much to do for kids. Connect 4, giant Jenga, climbing frame in the shape of a plane, sandpit, balance bikes, slide and giant plastic lego-style pieces.Such a great planes for those either interested in planes, watching the world go by or looking for somewhere to entertain the kids!

What is there not to like about Sherburn air club. No PPR required just call 10 miles out. Lovely tarmac runway and taxi ways. £ 10 landing fee for my Vans RV6A. Nice friendly staff. Great cafe lovely food.....could do with bigger tea pots....even if you do not fly well worth a visit by car.......well done all....

Popped in to the cafe while out on a bike ride, really nice cafe and the food was fantastic. Nice to sit and watch the coming and goings at the airfield over breakfast! Has a lovely outside viewing area too with benches and a small kids playground.

Lovely sandwich and coffee. Best I've had for a long while. Floury slightly toasted teacake wit sausage and black pudding. Powered me and the cycle club back to Huddersfield. 27/09/23 update still the same, only fish finger sandwich this time!

Digbys cafe had just opened when we visited. They had a reduced menu while they find their feet as the menu said. However the breakfast was huge & the view across the airfield was very good. There is a kids play area on the outside seating area so plenty to see while you are having your food & drink. Will be there again to sample the full menu in a few weeks time..

We attended as part of a large group. Lovely place, clean and lots of seating inside and out. Ample free parking. I had full English breakfast (£9.50). Not massive portions, but acceptable. I asked if I could swap the grilled tomato for something else and the answer was no"

Highly Recommend Mr Jackson for a Flight Experience my children really enjoyed the afternoon very affordable and great fun. NYLE 9 year old was in the front seat and Mr Jackson let him steer the plane. The food was amazing too great quality.
