It was Toulouse’s first checkup today and what a stressful day it was. Through all of the tears and breeder faff, the Castle Vet team were incredible. They were so kind and did everything they could to help, while making me and little Toulouse feel as comfortable as possible. I am so so grateful to all of the ladies that helped us out. Will be seeing you soon ❤️(picture of Toulouse post X-ray)

Great experience from all staff, I have taken my old dog and kitten there and they've always been great. I don't need to worry about them being properly looked after!

I have had a lot of anxiety issues. I have had to cancel appointments and that is on me. It is understandable that I would need to pay beforehand. However what was uncalled for was the receptionist told me I shouldn't have a cat and then when I decided to swap vets because of that comment I was told off for that too and basically threatened that my new vet would know about our history of canceling appointments, which is understandable but it was done in a way that felt like a threat. Then I was basically told I won't be able to take care of her there either. I am at fault for my anxiety and difficulty but treating me like that was unnecessary.Basically I was taunted for being anxious. So that's cool. They also don't let you in the appointment with your pet.

The lady on the phone gave me completely false information, not only that didn’t even listen to me to understand what my question was and cut me off completely. Glad I never took my dog there. Bad experience from the very beginning.

I've been with Castle Vets for years until I moved away last year. Phoebe (CC) passed away this last Monday and wanted to say thank you for the long and supportive care you have given us. She made it to 24.7 years old. Thank you again for the service.

Ewen Brynne and all the team at the Castle veterinary Surgery cared for my westie for just under 17 yrs. They always showed my Simba care and respect. They always explained fully what procedure Would be best for Simba.I know it will take me a long time to come to terms with Simba's passing but if I do have another dog I most certainly will be taking it to the Castle veterinary Surgery.I wish to thank everyone for the compassion that was shown to my family and myself when Simba's life came to an endMaureen Winter

There are multiple negative reviews on various sites about the manner of the female vet here shouting at people and behaving rudely and disrespectfully, dating back several years so this is clearly a long standing issue at this practice. These reviews initially put me off taking my kitten here but I decided to give them a chance after hearing good things about the male vet. He was wonderful - very kind, caring and understanding with a lovely manner towards us and our cat. On our third visit we saw the dreaded female vet and she was horrendous - handled our kitten roughly, shouted at us and caused my autistic daughter to have a panic attack, then continued shouting, being aggressive and intimidating and spoke to me and my daughter like dirt. I have never seen someone with such anger issues, especially aimed at a child, and am appalled at her lack of care and compassion towards animals and people. Her and her husband could not be further apart in the way they treat animals and people. She was completely rude and unprofessional and made disparaging comments about autism and my parenting which are completely unrelated to her role as a vet, not to mention highly inappropriate. The fees are very high compared to other practices too - again something which is reflected in multiple online reviews. I have no idea why she feels she can behave in this manner. It is regrettable that she lets the practice, animals and customers down so much when her husband is clearly an outstanding vet with excellent people skills. I would strongly recommend that anyone avoid this practice at all costs due to the female vet and co-owner, whereas before this I would have recommended them due to the male vet.
