Used VK Timber since 2018, 8 separate orders so far. Each time the service has been excellent (even when the mistake were on my end)Prices have been fair, delivery on time and advised by a call from the driver is there were any holdups.The wood quality has been excellent, dressed pieces were nice and clean and most importantly straight.Will continue to use again, pretty solid group.

Top marks from me for VK Timber. Friendly and helpful staff, quick service too - ordered a bulk bag of stone chips which arrived promptly at my home the following day, with a courtesy call to advise that the goods were in transit.I popped down to the depot the following day to pick up some 25KG bags of the same chips, again great service - made the purchase, and the goods were brought round to my car on a fork lift - the guys loaded the car for me, and I was good to go. Would absolutely recommend VK Timber, five stars well deserved!

Excellent service. Ordered decking boards and were delivered the next day. I placed another order with them for more decking boards and fence panels but asked for it to be delivered in 3 weeks time, phoned them this morning to double check it was getting delivered today and the guy asked if it was myself and the stuff was being delivered today. Would highly recommend!

Products are damaged and you do not get a full refund when you bring them back. Staff are rude and aggressive. Poor qualityDo not waist your time using this company you will waist your time. The goods are of cheap material and they will send you the broken stuff that they know you won't get a full refund on. It's a con and I'm forced to give a one star rating I wish there was a zero rating. I'll never be back

I buy a lot of timber for the work I do but this was my first order with VK.Firstly you do not get an invoice, order confirmation, or anything else except a worldpay receipt. No contact whatsoever in 10 days until they phone to give you a delivery day, which they then ignored and turned up on a different day.All of the wood was damaged or poor quality. I ordered dressed timber for building cabinets but this would not be fit for putting up a fence. All wood was cupped, cracked, missing knots, dented and stained with finger and boot prints. The thin lengths were like hockey sticks. I ordered fence panels which came with sharp nail tips poking through everywhere just ready to take an eye out.I didn't get a delivery note so I can't even check to see everything is there.I tried calling many times, no answer.I emailed, once politely and then again firmly, but no response.I think they are using lockdown as an excuse to dump their reject timber on small customers and hiding behind covid 19 when it doesnt work.AVOID!

My husband went in to price composite decking was told use the website very unhelpful. Went to shawfield timber got a quote for just over 5000 without any hassle and spent a lot of time getting exactly what we wanted brillant staff nothing is any bother

Very poor quality materials and when u try and return them your met with vile staff who don't know what customer service is. As for the manager he is absolutely shocking he just gives u loads of abuse and swears at u . Don't waste ur time,energy and ur hard earned cash on this company as they are shocking trading standards have been notified .

Iv order a few rimes now from VK Timber and everytime they have been great.Ordered this time to upgrade my fence from 4ft to 6ft and double slat it.Firstly customer service, i ordered 6 ft peices of timber but also 6ft posts. Mark from Vk phoned me as he relised I may be mistaken and forgot about the length going into the ground and needed 8ft. He changed the order and no hassle what so ever. Then the delivery driver, im on nightshift atm and asked if he could just put it outside and id move it when im up from sleeping. He moved some things about and craned it into my garden to save me the hassle.To me thats 2 peices of customer service that is above and beyond.Qaulity all the wood is perfect as always no warps etc.In terms of price id say the are the best or are up there.Lastly I order on the 26th and had it on the 28th.Really cant be beaten for everything.

Great service from this firm for otherwise hard to source insulation materials. Prompt and friendly delivery before noon the next day. Accurate quantity dispatched.
