Newfield Dairy Ice Cream Parlour & Cafe

Always drove past this place on the way to Newark loads of time but never had a chance to pop in. Managed to get that chance. We took our little daughter for some ice cream and a play in their park. The ice cream was good and fast service. There were a few broken toys" in the park that we had to stop our little one trying to use but other than a good visit."

Fabulous icecream, brilliant weather, nice views. Dog friendly and kids play area. The queue was quite long but we expected that on such a lovely day. Girls behind the counter were efficient and polite. Lots of choice and nice and clean. Can't wait to go back!

Ice cream and food delicious but the service is painfully slow!!! Today we queued for over 30 minutes for ice cream. Just putting a board up with the flavours on would speed up the process a little, can't see them until you get there. The young girls behind the counter can't be blamed and the owner/manager needs to get it sorted!!!

Visited today for our anniversary lunch. I don't take pleasure in leaving negative reviews but there was alot of staff not much initiative between them. Out of a 3 person order my lunch was 30 minutes later than everyone else's in the party. We had to ask if we'd been forgotten (not busy at this point) and the gentleman couldn't apologise enough. Sadly it wasn't just our table that encountered this issue. Food was nice but at just less than £80 for 3 people to eat lunch I'm expect far better service. A shame as I pride myself in supporting local especially in these tough economic times. Maybe add some staff training, it can be improved I'm sure.

Plenty of seating inside and out, dog friendly area.Plenty of flavours to choose from and generous portion size.Definitely worth a visit.Would recommend

It's a great place to visit any day of the week . Lots of parking . Lots of seating indoors and outdoors. The food is yummy, and there are lots of ice cream desserts and lots of different flavours . It's one of my favourite places to visit .

All the gorgeous home made ice cream you'd expect but they also do meal absolutely wonderful meals. Best baguette I've ever had

Really nice ice cream. Creamy and sweet. The sorbet is also particularly delicious. The vegan ice cream is a new addition and really enjoyed the raspberry flavour.Had a banana ice cream milkshake and was disappointing. Was expecting a blended ice cream milkshake. Thick etc. But ended up with a glass of milk (maybe with banana flavour in it?) And a couple of scoops of ice cream in it... Not what I envisaged.Overall good ice cream, but I'd advise steering clear of the special" sundaes etc. The basic ice creams are much better value and simply delicious!"

Went for lunch. Great outdoor area for children and there is a separate area where kids not allowed!! Jacket potatoes and salad really good. Obviously highlight is the ice cream. Unusual seasonal varieties available including peach and Victoria plum. Good scoop size! Of course there's a queue, it's popular. Recommended

We have been coming here for years as a family and friends group, and is loved by us very much.I have to say when we visited at the weekend with my parents for the first time for my son’s birthday I was relieved at the availability of vegan options for the cakes and ice cream. My mum has a dairy intolerance so eating out for puddings and cake can be tricky. We had tried to go somewhere else that day to be told they don’t cater to dairy intolerance. So we came here instead. I was worried if they would have anything for mum as when we come it’s ice cream we have so not taken much notice of cakes? I knew they do meals though.Thank goodness there were options for mum, brownie, carrot cake and chocolate ice cream! Mum really loved the carrot cake! And they now want to come regularly when we do for a treat! A huge thank you for catering to dairy intolerance and providing vegan options to choose from. You saved the day and my son’s birthday treat going out for coffee and cake.
