I would like to thank Lucy and all the staff for their compassion and kindness shown to us at the weekend, when we very sadly had to say goodbye to our 17 year old cat, Willow.Lucy was lovely. Guiding us throughout the process and giving us lots of time to make our decision and to be with Willow to say our goodbyes and give her lots of cuddles. She also gave us time to be with her after. There was absolutely no rush. We were even told to just leave when we were ready and the payment would be sorted later. We have never known that before and it was such a lovely and appreciated thing to do.They also offered to have paw prints taken for us.We are so touched with the caring service we were given.Thank youGail Newstead

Caring individual service for our collie 'Red'. We benefited from practical xrays and bloods being done, giving us a definitive picture of the problem plus clear options for the future. No 'pushing' about treatments (which has happened in the past with other vets). (Any vet that gets down on the floor to a pet HAS to be okay!).

I don't normally find the time to write reviews however I have been so impressed with Highfields vets that I feel morally obliged to make a point to all local pet owners just how brilliant they are. When we brought our dog in we were really worried we might be losing her. Lucy the vet was warm and friendly and took the time to listen to our concerns without interrupting or pushing her own agenda. She explained to us really clearly what her recommendations were and gave us an estimated cost without prompt. She really made us feel like our dog was in safe hands.Within a few hours of leaving our dog Highfields had identified what was wrong and reassured us that it probably wasn't life threatening. They called us a number of times throughout the day with updates and we were able to collect her by the end of the day looking much more cheerful! They'd even let her in the staff room with them as she finds people really comforting (of course being a staffy!).Our dog made a complete turn around and when we went back the following day for a check up she couldn't get in the door faster which is very unusual for her with vets! Not only were the vets brilliant, Jo on reception was exceptionally approachable and helpful. Our dog needed to be fed on a special diet for a few days and despite the fact that the practise sold the food we needed she had a look online whilst on the phone to us to see where else sold it at the cheapest price. This wasn't something we had asked for but just goes to show the ethos of the practise caring for the wellbeing of both the pets and owners caring for them.To top it all off, after providing such brilliant care Jo then asked for our insurance policy number so she could put a claim through for us immediately after the appointment. Normally this would be an extra 'to-do' list item I would have to do once back home and it will make such a difference knowing this can be done every time! We've also signed up for the health plan which covers all of her worming and vaccinations and means we get free consultations for an extremely reasonable £23 per month. With our Staffy being an older dog, knowing we can go for for support and advice whenever she needs without worry about repeated consult costs is a huge weight off our shoulders. Not much more else to say. Absolutely fantastic vets, really setting the standard as an independent for what can be achieved.

The most empathetic and approachable vets I have ever used, and there been a few over the years. Following the sad passing of my cat at only 10 they explained his heart failure in a way that was easy to understand and received a card and plant seeds shortly after that was a lovely gesture. Taken up the pet plan for my new kitten and would not use anyone else. Can't recommend highly enough!

What a wonderful surgery. Staff and vets are fantastic . Helpful, knowledgeable, they give outstanding care & compassion to their animals. They looked after, treated and loved my little dog Jake through his last few days with us. I cannot thank everyone enough. Highly recommended.

Just found this place, after a personal recommendation from another dog-owner, and so glad I have. What a lovely bunch. Immediately greeted by cheerful, friendly smiles and a great attitude. Vet was warm, knowledgeable, calm and methodical. Pricing seems reasonable and was clear and transparent. Delighted. : )

Visited today for the first time with Doris for her yearly injections and to attempt to cut her nails for the first time! The staff and vet were first class no problem for Doris all went well. Definitely recommend X

I am absolutely impressed by the professionalism and kindness from reception staff and vet Anne Marie. My Bill and Ben were quite nervous initially, however they were made feel comfortable straight away. Anne Marie's approach really helped them with their anxiety and ours as it was the first time that we took them to this vet. Anne Marie gave us helpful information and treated us and the dogs with respect and compassion. I am really glad that we chose this vet!

Oh so pleased to have googled & found Highfields after moving to the area 3 weeks ago. Literally can't fault - easy, evening access to a prompt appointment, kindly receptionist who phoned to confirm, and super vet Lucy whose advice I trusted entirely (sensible costing...phew!) I had a dreadful experience elsewhere when my dog was very poorly and Highfields has restored my confidence. Thank you!
