New Oriental Restaurant
Awful service rang at 5:20 as had family over they were leaving after the food so thought we had plenty of time, was told on the phone the order would be 1 hour if we wanted delivery or collection so we chose delivery what a mistake. We waited 1 hour 40 minutes and rang to be told it would be another 30 minutes, we waited still no food arrived told it would be another 15 minutes and that a table had come into the restaurant after we had ordered our take away food and they now had priority, no apology or phonecall to say our order would be delayed, we finally got our food at 7:40pm after waiting 2 and a half hours. Some of the food was tasteless and cold on arrival will not be ordering again. family went home hungry because of the awful service. Don’t offer take out and a restaurant if you can’t cope. Very poorly run.

New Oriental Restaurant
Had a takeaway and it was honestly one of the worst Chinese I've ever had. Spring rolls were covered in grease. Chicken was awful, it tasted rubbery and had a funny taste. The crispy beef was soggy. The rice was bland and tasteless and the noodles had a funny taste to them. I do not understand how this place has some good reviews it was terrible. Maybe they had an off day, but I certainly won't be purchasing from here again.

Just had our first takeaway from The Oriental and it was gorgeous. It took a little while-approx 50mins - to arrive but was well worth the wait. Would fully recommend the takeaway and delivery service.

I rang my order in at 5:50 pm to be told it would be a half-hour wait, as I was half an hour from home and expected it to be almost ready when I got there.Well, I was still sitting there at 7 pm waiting yet others that came in and ordered were in and out before mine was even ready.The service has gone downhill massively, unfortunately.No one updated me until I went up to the till.Once home the food wasn't hot it was warm, Chips overdone and the chicken balls were very greasy and overcooked.Unfortunately due to this and past orders not being the best we won't be back.The blonde-haired girl was great but the others sorry need more training.

We ordered at takeaway to be delivered ringing at 5.20pm to be delivered at 7.30pm thinking this would give them ample time to get this to us on time. It didn't arrive till after 8pm and when I called the lady said we are busy"! But to me I called the order in over two hours before so this should have been planned in! We spent over £50. It seems the service could definitely be improved on. Having said all that the food was really good. Would I go again? not in a hurry as I don't think I would want to risk delays again unfortunately and looking at reviews it does seem to be a problem."

Angry does not even cut it. The front of house staff are rude, offensive and obnoxious. I physically heard and witnessed two or three of the staff openly abusing/complaining about customers who had called.They dismissed every single person who rightly asked why their food was taking so long.We ordered our food on a Saturday at 6.30pm. We were told it would take an hour and a half for collection. Arrived at 8. Still no food by 8.45pm. Other people were getting annoyed while we were there because they had had similar experience.It’s a shame. Because the food has always been great as is the pricing.We won’t be here again for some time.

Prompt answering, disappointed that only cash on delivery and not card payment. Only one little complaint is that the chicken and prawn balls had more batter than meat or fish, rest of meal was very tasty
