Channel Kayaks/CK Sup & Paddle

We had the most gorgeous time with both Emma and Byron on the water. It is absolutely gorgeous along the water there and they were amazing guides. Emma even introduced to us a hazy cider slushy at the pub which we drank on the water. Byron pointed out all the wildlife to us and we saw cygnets, ducklings, lots of fish and a beautiful kingfisher. I would high recommend!

We had an awesome 2 hour SUP lesson with Byron at Channel Kayaks. My boyfriend had not really done any paddle boarding before and I have only done a bit, but we were both put straight at ease as soon as we got there. We went from feeling unstable and nervous whilst kneeling to racing each other, stood up, and doing step back turns! Byron had a great sense of humour so we had a blast, and he was a great teacher! We would really recommend to anyone who wants to lean to SUP or if you just want to improve! To make things even better the resident swans and ducks were lovely to see and very friendly.

Ever get holiday blues? Well I got day out blues after spending the day with the guys at Channel Kayaks! I can’t really put into words how much I loved it. My mum and I did an hour on the katakanus with Dave and then a 2 hour paddle board lesson with Byron. Byron blew us away with how knowledgable he was and taught us so much about safety, boards and techniques and tricks all whilst having a real laugh (seriously we didn’t stop) and making it as fun as possible. Dave and Emma were also just as lovely and really made sure we had the best time. The most beautiful river with the most incredible staff. I couldn’t recommend these guys anymore. The 2 hour drive from Portsmouth was more than worth it and I cannot wait to go back! I just wish I lived closer so I could go every day!

Booked an hour guided paddle, had a fantastic time fed some swans en route so calm and tranquil. Added bonus you get 15% off of food and drink at the pub next door. Brilliant way to spend a very happy afternoon

The location is great and quiet. Enjoyed a really sunny Saturday morning on the pretty river. Plenty of nice wildlife to check such as herons, cormorants, ducks, dragonflies. I managed to rescue with my paddle a wet floating really big firefly (in photo) and Byron proved how knowledgeable he was of the area.Nice and relax, I'd recommend the olace really easily for a trip near Bristol with possible paddle to Bath next time.

After loving our kayaking nature trip with Emma we came back again to have a go at stand up paddle boarding. Byron gave us an incredible lesson. He taught us so many tips and tricks so we were so much more confident and comfortable on the boards by the end! The setting is so incredibly beautiful that we will just keep coming back (even though we live in London). It really is a very special place and we’re so glad we stumbled across it.Thank you so much to Byron and Emma, please keep being wonderful and spreading your amazing energy.
