Shetland Reel at Saxa Vord Distillery
A great experience. This was one of the highlights of our visit to the islands. A passionate tasting experience, we were able to sample several different gins. We were the only three on the tour. The tour guide was passionate and explained the distillery and its products well. Definitely worth a visit if you like gin!

Shetland Reel at Saxa Vord Distillery
I was fortunate to visit Unst in June and a trip to the island would not be complete without visiting Shetland Reel. I'm not normally a gin drinker barring the odd G&T from time to time, more of a single malt man. However, I managed to sample the Ocean Sent, which is made with the local bladderwrack seaweed. This gin was punchy, full of flavour and a delight to drink neat. Well done guys, keep the new ideas flowing.

I cannot recommend this gin,and this company,enough.Firstly,made in Scotland,from licalll sourced ingredients.Secondly and also firstly,their gins are superb.They are innovative,imaginative,deliveries speedy,so impressed with this company.I recently contacted them on Monday,requiring two bottles,as birthday presents for my brother's,on Saturday,asking if possible to send in time.The amazing Ian grant,replied to me on Tuesday,and I got them the next day.So visiting Shetland next year.What a boost to Scotland's economy.

A great range of tasty Gins that a produced at the distillery. Friendly and helpful staff. Tours are available Monday to Saturday from midday to 1:00 p.m. by booking on their website. Card payments accepted.

There was no tour when I visited as they have to be pre booked but I had a lovely chat and a great tasting anyway.Awesome Gin that wins awards for a reason.Recommend it to anyone

Wonderful tour. Aaron did an amazing job telling the story of the distillery and the various gins they have produced along the way. Highly recommended. Pro tip, book the tour in advance (at noon as of 2022) and then book a tea time at Victoria’s tea house for 2PM.

Not only is this the best gin I've ever had the pleasure to sample but the folks who work here are absolutely delightful! The tasting and tour are enjoyable and fun. The ability to buy gin that you can't purchase anywhere else is just a bonus!!
