Green Fingers Garden Centre
Called in for a hot chocolate and snack last weekend. Although cafe is a lovely, prices for what we got are a bit shocking, £3.50 for a croissant with butter and jam and also £3.75 for 2 crumpets with butter and jam. Basically they came out the packet, in microwave to warm for a few seconds and put on a plate ( nothing in presentation). Croissant wasn’t fresh as was a bit tough to cut. Bit disappointed in this visit

Took my kids to see Santa. He was one of the nicest we have ever seen! Absolutely lovely and had all of the time in the world for the kids. Most places you feel rushed out the door. The gifts were brilliant too

Gorgeous newish garden centre. I had 5 minutes before closing time to pick out q special birthday present. The lovely lady here with years of experience in horticulture listened to me and expertly helped me pick out a beautiful Escallonia Elle. There was so much here that I'll definitely be coming back. Everything is beautifully looked after and well presentedHighly recommend chatting with the tall lady with short hair, didn't catch her name - but she's lovely and very very helpful.

Bought plants and hanging baskets from here about 5 weeks ago. They are absolutely thriving and really brighten up the front of the house. So colourful and were a really good price.

Went for food with friends on Saturday. All I ordered was chips. Their food came out at different so i waited. They had all finished their food so I asked someone at the bar about my chips- he said he would look into it. I never seen him again. 15 mins later I went back to the bar and asked someone else. I never seen her again. Somebody came to the table to remove plates- I asked her about the plate of chips. She didn't return back to the table either. Finally my friend went to the and asked a final time. About 1 hour and 45 minutes after first ordering I was brought out an undercooked plate of chips. The server placed them down and simply walked away. I was offered no apology nor an explanation. This has put me off from returning. It is a shame as my friends said their food was nice.

Great venue to meet with friends. In the Café the Food can be pricey and doesn’t always meet expectations but somehow it doesn’t matter. I still go back. There are plenty of tables, spacious and a good atmosphere. One of the nicest places to visit in South Shields.

Green Fingers Garden Centre
Lovely little garden centre, the cafe/restaurant is also fab , lovely food and reasonably priced. I say cafe as it's what I first expected but it's exceptional food and drink worth a visit.Also the Santa is absolutely fabulous here.

Green Fingers Garden Centre
We had a splendid Monday here with mum, and Nan it is also dog friendly and they were very helpful and friendly service getting the boys water and balls to play with, which I thought was very lovely , they both got a got a good boy treat we had lunch here also , food was delicious and prices were well. We had a wander through inside and outside of the garden centre which is very beautiful. Overall lovely place to go.

Green Fingers Garden Centre
Thank goodness we have a garden centre back in South Shields. Good locality, parking and a range of plants, pots and garden furniture. Personally I go for the perennials and always on the lookout for bedding plants. Don’t know if I’ve missed out when I’ve gone but I wouldn’t say a massive selection on annuals but I’ve picked up some lovely perennials, herbs and a couple of shrubs, compost etc. staff are very helpful and take the time to talk to you. They have opened up a new fruit and veg area that I have yet to try and the indoor/outdoor coffee shop is pleasant and popular and the coffee is definitely a thumbs up. The girls are very sweet and make a good cappuccino but maybe a little bit more organisation would be helpful. It’s early days and I’ve heard there is expansion ahead. Can’t wait!
