Asda Bucknall Supermarket

I was shopping in this between 1310 and 1320 on Tuesday 17th October 2023, and when I went to pay for my items at the kiosk I was told by a slightly rotund middle aged female with glasses behind said kiosk that she couldn't serve me and I must use the self service tills, I responded with the question, are you forcing people to use the self service tills then? To which she nonchalantly replied yes. I then proceeded to drop my little green basket by the kiosk and walked out of the store, in a scene which given tumbleweeds, could of paroded a western. I have never known anyone to be refused service at this kiosk, there are no signs saying that this is the policy of this particular store. I get the impression that this is the policy of this particular individual who is costing the store money. Will I get a reply from ASDA, I doubt it.

Loved working here polite staff great shop

Used to live in Bucknall so used it a lot lol and even now I'll go there cus it's familiar to me. Great place to either pop in pop out or do your main shop as they have a great range of products. Great helpful, polite and riendly staff as long as you pay for your carrier bags lol. I always had to double up cus the bags kept breaking and made me pay for both of them, which yes so I should I hear you say, but even though their carrier bags were sub standard and often broke before you left the store ( to which they would happily change no quibble) it didn't help you when you were half way home and that's obviously the time that they would choose to break and scatter my shopping everywhere lol. Plenty of parking and a great place for wheelchair access.

This store is possibly the worst Asda in the UK. Never any staff, shelve empty of essential's more choice in a corner shop lately with lots of popular brands no longer stocked any more. With no security and shoplifters seen daily helping themselves I wonder why anyone bothers shopping here. This store has gone seriously downhill in last 6 months.

Only one till operated by a person and now the kiosk is no longer taking people. Too many self service tills. Nice staff and good products for a smaller store.

Worst supermarket ever but closest to us. Most of the staff need customer service training. They are usually rude and miserable and treat customers like they are an inconvenience. We've been told to move so the staff can get at the shelf we were looking at, cant pay for a couple of items at the kiosk and collect a parcel at the same time we have to queue twice. Staff chat to their mates and leave other customers waiting. They make no attempt to move for customers while stacking shelves. Nearly been hit by cages more than once. If the stores wasn't so local we would avoid.

Nice little store for a quick visit but if its for your weekly shop you might need to go to the larger store at woolstanton as this smaller store doesn't have all products. The store us clean ebay if parking space and the staff are very helpful and friendly

Have used this store before, it's always self checkout, no one is ever on the tills (which I would prefer.) I have used the tobacco/lottery counter before for a few items and had no problem. However today I had a winning lottery ticket of Twentyodd pound and wanted to use the money for my little shop, all though before I got to the lottery till the member off staffed screamed you can't bring the basket here" I explained I wanted use my lottery win but wouldn't except the basket. And told me go self checkout

Thos is an update from my previous review. The staff are always happy to help and pleasant enough.. the issue is management!! I'm disabled and can't use the self-checkout tills, so need to use the 'normal' tills, you know the one where you get an actual service!! But no.. I'm standing there every time on average for over 4 minutes because they're not staffed anymore. It's ridiculous!! What happened to service!! Sack the manager.. get those manned tills back open and actually serve people rather than expecting people to do it themselves!!

Lovely store. Helpful staff and lots of choice of products served in a clean welcoming environment. Plenty of car parking and disabled access
