I do not live in Devon but the moment I contacted Shoobridge I knew everything would be handled with total care and respect. I needed to arrange a funeral for my sister in law who we knew was not keen to have a funeral and didn't want any fuss! I cannot thank Paul and Penny Shoobridge enough for their kindness and help in dealing with all the arrangements. Their help was invaluable and we had a small but beautiful funeral at East Devon. The celebrant Abigail Price is amazing, and captured everything we wanted to say about a much loved and missed lady - and more. I cannot thank them or recommend them highly enough for all their help, advice and kindness.

Everyone at Shoobridge Funeral Services Honiton were so very kind, professional and caring when they took care of arrangements for my sisters funeral recently. From the minute I made the phone call following the sudden death of my son I had nothing but empathy and support from Penny and her team at Honiton. Even if you are expecting it the loss of a close family member is a shock. When it comes 'out of the blue' you don't know which way is up let alone what time of day it is. When Shoobridge Funeral Services (SFS) say that they are available 24/7 they mean it and that can feel like a lifeline.I lost my Dad in January 2023 and his funeral was completely appropriate for him but I knew that my brother Stephen would need something different from a traditional church service when he passed away in April. So I looked for celebrants working in East Devon and came across articles by Abigail Price in some of the local papers. I was impressed and Abigail only works with SFS so I asked them if they could help.I can not praise the team at SFS and Abigail herself highly enough. They handled the whole process of my brother's cremation with compassion, empathy and professional skill. It really felt like Abigail and SFS took the time to get to know my brother so that they could help me to arrange something appropriate for him. You would expect this from a firm that charges over the odds but SFS went out of their way to help even though I could only afford a very basic service. Thank you just doesn't seem like enough!
