On a visit from Ireland I had an emergency braking problem with a ferry sailing to catch. I tried about six other garages and none was sympathetic, but Canal Garage checked the car on Friday to assess parts required, had the parts delivered by 9am Saturday and completed the job by 2pm despite hitting a snag with a badly corroded bolt. Great service from a busy garage.

Canal Garage was recommended by a friend some three years ago and they now service and MoT my classic and modern car. The customer service is excellent as is the standard of work, they understand modern and older cars and offer a quick efficient service at a very competitive price. I have no hesitation in recommending them for all motor servicing requirements.

Absolutely fantastic service. My husband and I had a mini disaster with the car on arrival at Boroughbridge for a weekend away in Yorkshire. Canal Garage replaced the damaged part in less than an hour and called promptly to let us know it was ready so we could continue with our holiday. We are so grateful for your excellent service. Absolutley great. I had never used them before as I'm relatively new to the area. I am a new driver and had a flat battery because of my own stupidity. They came to me and sorted it straight away, without any issues and definitley no over charging!! They definitely saved me that day!

Absolutely phenomenal effort by the lads at Canal Garage.I broke down late yesterday afternoon on my way home to Leicester and managed to limp to the nearest location Boroughbridge. The recommendations on Google swung it for me and they haven’t disappointed.Helped me find accommodation, food and kept me fully updated. The best garage in boroughbridge nothing is to much trouble have helped me with 4 of our family cars. The lads are really friendly and we always fuel here as well as had issues with Morrisons fuel. Support local service so we don't loose them. I have always recommend this garage to friends and family. Keep up the good work

This garage went over and above gold service. We are so grateful. Travelling up from home for a mini stop in Boroughbridge prior to going to Scotland we had a brake emergency and were completely stuck. All the people we spoke with at this garage were very kind, polite and genuine. If it was closer to home we would be regular customers. Thank you very much.

Charged £700 for a car service; this was due to other issues with the car that needed sorting.. however, the work was completed before notifying me of the estimated cost until I turned up to pay what I thought would be a standard service, I felt pressured to pay this and reluctantly paid.2 months later, the MOT due cost a further £900 for what I was told was going to fix all advisories and major issues on the MOT, after agreement and upon collection of the car, I was then told only the majors were fixed and that advisories didn't need to be fixed despite saying the quote was to include fixing everything - Disputed this and was told tough, absolute DO NOT recommend these theives and would give zero stars if l could. Dishonest and untrustworthy service.If I'd have been told the estimate costs prior to the work being done I'd have scrapped the car and now, due to spending over £1000, I have to keep the car and hope the advisories don't cause any significant issues anytime soon.Took my other car to another local garage (in Thirsk) and had the opposite experience and also cheaper. Avoid Canal Garage at all costs.
