EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRODUCTS - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.My teenage son was looking for a Classical Guitar, so we decided to pop into Gough and Davy to have a look.Super friendly staff made us feel very welcome. We were not to sure about which guitar to choose, the gentleman we spoke with was really knowledgable and advised my son on the options, then encouraged him to use the guitar and see if he liked it.My son was really happy with the guitar and we ended up purchasing it. We hadn't intended on buying a guitar that day, but the excellent customer service and great range of products made the whole experience really enjoyable.It was so nice to be able to buy from a local store. To actually be able to go in and try the products before purchasing, and be made to feel so welcome by genuinely caring staff, who have a passion for what they are selling.Would not hesitate to shop at Gough and Davy in the future, and would highly recommend.

Service with a smile ! Really pleased with my recent purchase from Gough & Davy. I was visiting Hull for the day, so I knew nothing about this shop beforehand. The staff were pleasant and helpful. They took time to help me choose the harmonica I had gone in for, and I was so impressed with their customer service, I decided to buy a guitar as well ! There was no pressure to buy and I was pleased to see that they had in stock the smaller size I had been considering. As I live hundreds of miles away, they arranged to post the guitar to my home address. It was well packaged and arrived this morning in perfect condition. I would definitely recommend this store.

Just bought my 3rd guitar from Gough & Davy's a Tanglewood 'Winter leaf' I bought it a few weeks ago, so have delayed review until I had played it at home and at gigs, my honest opinion? It is absolutely brilliant! Beautiful tones, sustains very well , low action, all in all very happy with it, thanks to Shaun at G&D!

My brand new Yamaha piano came today, and was excellently delivered by the team with care and concern so a perfect arrival was achieved. Needless to say, I am thrilled with it all and am looking forward to many years playing the magnificent instrument. G & D have been a pleasure to deal with and have kept me fully informed over arrival times and gave a fair and sensible trade-in on my previous instrument. So this is a new chapter in my life and one which has started really well. Thank you all at G & D.

To be honest? Shaun and lewis were extraordinarily nice for my time with Gough and Davy, their customer service skills are second to none, I always felt like I was dealt with in a professional yet familiar almost informal manner which made the atmosphere in the shop feel warm and homely. The Christmas Club" scheme they do where you pay in installments over a period of time has meant I was able to afford the guitar I wanted to a bespoke pricing plan that was set out and agreed. All of this plus extras like letting me play the guitar whilst in the shop was just fantastic. One of the best well known secrets in Hull for good reason. Couldn't recommend everyone who works here enough. Thanks Guys."

Absolutely fantastic service and assistance from the staff! Got me an amazing deal on my guitar and amp today and I couldn’t be happier. Some of the nicest people I’ve met and helpful even when loading the amp in the car and answered all questions I had would recommend to anyone 10/10
