Able To Enable - York

We had very good service from this company. They are friendly and interested in your needs and try hard to meet them. We rang round a lot of companies to get an idea of who were best to adapt my car, and these inspired the most confidence.

Was my first visit with my grandmother so was a little apprehensive. We were looking for a wheelchair and advise. The gentleman that helped us was amazing! So helpful and knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble and he spoke to her as well as me, which was great as a lot of the time people will just address me and ignore her. We came away with exactly what we needed at a great price. She was so happy as was I. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Fantastic, friendly service every step of the way. There were some unavoidable delays when parts were being shipped but Mike updated me regularly so that I knew what was happening and Andy was really patient and helpful when he delivered my car and took me through how to use the adaptations. Highly recommended!

My Dad, who is 100 years old, bought a mobility scooter from Able to Enable and it has been brilliant for him. The staff were extremely helpful and I was particularly impressed that they replaced a faulty battery even though the one-year warranty was a few weeks passed: this was no issue for Able to Enable who replaced the batter free of charge regardless of the warranty period having been slightly exceeded. What wonderful people and what a wonderful shop!

The staff were really helpful and patient when we were looking for a power wheelchair. Gave good advice about the one we purchased.

I know its easy to tick 5 stars but believe you me, this company deserves every one.I am 80+ and have only ever had this kind of service from local family firms.From the very first visit I was treated as if I was important to them, from the manager to the fitter nothing was a trouble to them. On my first visit, a considerable amount of time was spent showing me alternatives with no hint of pressure to buy or go.I could go on and on about the merits of Able to Enable but suffice to say that all the employees I dealt with, go out of their way to give excellent service.Try them and see for yourselves, you wont be disappointed.

I've used this company for a couple of years now and would recommend them for servicing of mobility scooters. My latest enquiry to them about an issue I had could have been costly, but instead of recommending an expensive replacement part, I was given another suggestion over the phone which I tried and it worked. Very pleased not to be ripped off.

Used to poor service....We are so used to poor, begrudging and minimal service, that it comes as a great surprise to have anything but!I visited here with my daughter on the previous Friday, and needed support as I am very deaf!We had the pleasure of being professionally attended to by Lewis, whose patience, and good humour was much appreciated.I ordered a hands control system for my car, which was urgent, as I was unsafe with normal controls!Unbelievably, this was scheduled for the following Wednesday, and not only that but the car was collected from my home, and returned later by Mike, who again was exemplary, in his friendly and efficient manner.Compare this, if you will, to my first enquiry to another company, who wanted me to pay them £110 to see if I liked their product!That, and quoting several months for installation!As they say, it's not what you know, but who you know, and as it happens my son in law was service manager in a York dealership, and put me on to 'Able to Enable'.Buy with confidence.....

My Lodgeson's keypad had developed a fault (the pad was illuminated but none of the functions worked) and Mike at Able to Enable (who had installed my hand controls three years ago) booked me in on Monday 31 October at their York branch for an inspection.He found and fixed the fault quickly and at no charge. All credit to him and to the polite and efficient staff who understand just how much we depend on our vehicle adaptations. Excellent customer service and care.
