Visited in December 2022 on a Saturday morning. A recommendation from a friend who swears by this place.Numerous barber's chairs available but being about 1000 I sat on the side lines waiting. I don't know if there is a booking system here but some people got to sit before me even though they arrived 10/20 minutes later than I did.I had misgivings and thought of leaving but I perserved and eventually sat in 1 of the 3 chairs near the windows facing Parkway. The barber & I discussed my requirements and off we went. No small talk was forth coming, that's okay I can suffer that but it wasn't a relaxing experience either. My head was roughly handled and my ears pulled and manipulated in anger. Lots of chatter amongst the barbers meant a chaotic, underwhelming & disappointing customer experience.The customer next to me (teenger with his father) had a worse experience with his barber constantly stopping to talk to his colleagues. Things deteriorated when he got his iPhone out and had a full blown phone call whilst clippering with his other hand.Certainly the worst haircut I've had as an adult. Beard trim & eyebrows that I asked for didn't occur. However given what I had experienced so far I wasn't then going to prompt the lack of service. I paid the £18 fee with a £20 note and gladly left.I was recommended this by a friend. When I next saw them I asked what had I done wrong? I drive past this place regularly now I cannot bear to look inside such is my disappointment & resentment. No photos taken as I was very disappointed with the finished look of my hair, sooner I forget the better.

Myself and my 18 month son had our hair cut here. I think it was junior but I didn't get his name. Such nice guys and the cut was honestly the best I've had! Will def be my regular. Couldn't recommend more!

Let their mates in before you even though you’ve been waiting treating me like a mug. Was going to use this as my new regular place as I’ve been pleased the last few times - my time is just as important as anyone else’s. Sat there like a muppet for ages, 40 mins past appointment time, and then guy rushed my hair. Stick to Mitchell’s

Asha is very understanding of her clients needs , and training well in her craft , the rest of the barbers seem well trained in their craft and attentive. The place is clean and tidy. Overall a good experience. And relatively well priced too.

The best barber in Chelmsford! Diverse staff with excellent skills for all hair types, styles. All you need is to show up and witness the artists at work. Even if I travel anywhere I always come back to my hairdressers at Ossaga and I can relax knowing well I am in good hands. Never a dull moment and never a disappointment!
