Brilliant little fabric shop with a pleasantly surprising wide variety of fabrics for its size.Fabric and haberdashery items are all reasonably priced.The owner is professional, chatty, kind and helpful, and is always able to give advice on different fabrics/haberdashery items. I always feel very comfortable going into the shop to get my next projects materials.I would have to say this shop is one of my top 2 favourite fabric/haberdashery shops.I highly recommend this shop for your haberdashery and fabric needs.

I visited Island Fabrics on Saturday with to get some black satin material to make a sash. I really didn't know what I was looking for, the lady was so friendly and helpful, had plenty of time for me too. I was really impressed and will use this shop for all my material requirements in future. It's good to support small independent businesses and not use eBay for everything!

I visited this shop this morning with my daughter and was really delighted to see so many beautiful up-to-date textiles suitable for patchwork, quilting, toys, toddler clothes and all other kinds of needle crafts, plus buttons, cones of thread, ribbons etc., all at very reasonable prices. The lady has lovely, unhurrying manner which makes this shop a delight to visit when you are looking for something beautiful in the sewing line.

Love this shop !! The lady who owns it is such a lovely warm lady x always willing to help!! Took my blouse in to get I bought new had two buttons missing she matched up the buttons and I cheekily asked if she would sew them on !! No problem she said !! Cost me £1.12 !!! Great service highly recommend this lovely little shop!! Keep our high street going
