Sometimes the car park can be very busy. Can be frustrating. When cars tried to park their car in the slot. Other times are nice and easy, especially just before 10.00 am.When it is busy. Best to park the car in Wickes. However, go in Wickes building to look around before shopping for food. Just to prove you intended to buy something in Wickes

Very good and secluded car park that is nearby the city centre. On some specific days you can park for £1.10 for the whole day.

If you want to park in town on the weekend, this is by far the cheapest place and only a short walk

Expensive electric vehicle charging price if you only need a quick top up. You have to pay and display for car park then a £3.50 initial cost followed by £0.25 per minute, ouch?

Ridiculous system. This is a pay & display car park, but in order to pay, there's a camera that supposedly remembers your number plate. I was allowed in, but once parked, my registration wasn't recognised so it wouldn't let me pay. I had an interview to get to so had to leave it. When I came back, I couldn't get into the carpark without entering my number plate. Even if it had recognised it, it wouldn't have worked, because there was an errant M which wouldn't go away when I tried to type so the number was invalid anyway. I pressed for help and was let in and told I could drive out, no questions. The sliding door opened to let me walk in, and another opened to allow me to drive out, but then there was a further lever outside, which would not lift up, and the help buzzer didn't work. Plus, I could no longer get back into the carpark because the sliding door was shut behind me. I waited in the pouring rain until another driver came out and we were both stuck, but at least now, the door to the car park was open. He said this happens regularly. He had to run back inside to call the buzzer that did work, to explain we were stuck, while I explained what was going on to another driver, now waiting behind him. The only good thing was that I didn't have to pay because it didn't recognise my plate, but the drivers I spoke to, pay to park there for work regularly and say they have the same problems. Utterly stupid. Should go back to the old-fashioned pay & display system if this nonsense doesn't work.
