West Country Water Park
We recently visited West Country Water Park to learn to paddle board. We were welcomed by the friendliest group of staff members that were more than happy to help us out and provide us with everything we needed to get started. Before going out on the water we were guided through everything we needed to know about paddle boarding by the experienced life guard who again was so friendly and offered us loads of pointers, obviously through experience. Whilst the weather wasn't great we had a thoroughly enjoyable experience and will definately be back to the park to do it all again!

First visit to this waterpark today and it really was exceptionally good. The reception was warm and friendly, they have lots of things to hire, there’s a nice café a large deck for spectators and four swimmers who want to sit for a while with a warm drink afterwards. And everything looks clean, tidy and well organised. As you can see from the photo the setting is absolutely gorgeous.I had a lovely swim with my friend and will definitely be back again soonThanks so much everyoneMichelle x

West Country Water Park is a relativity new set-up; although the lake has been there for some time, the infrastructure is new.You can find the water park above Bristol between the M4 and M5. There is more than enough parking at the lake, and although there wasn't any disabled parking, I found somewhere convenient to park. I found that there was more than enough disabled access for my needs. While there, I popped in for a swim; they had a lifeguard on duty the whole time I was in the water. Swimming is just one activity they offer; you can kayak, paddleboard, jet ski, and they have a massive inflatable water park. Look out for the open-air cinema they a showing during the warmer months.I swam on a wet day; they had space for me to change in the cafe, allowing me to hop into the water. They have changing rooms; I just didn't use them on this visit. Access into the water is okay for me; I didn't have any problems at all. If you are disabled, it might be worth calling to get an idea of how access might work for your visit. They have a lovely cafe at the water park; I enjoyed my post-swim lunch —the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.I can't recommend it enough if you live near West Country Water Park; it is well worth a visit. There is something for everyone. I don't live nearby, but I will be returning soon. This fantastic facility sets the standard for an outdoor activity centre.

West Country Water Park
Great place to prepare for the long open water swims (I used this place to do long 5-8K swims as preparation for my Straight of Gibraltar swim crossing. My daughter really enjoyed the water park several times during summer. We enjoy it every time we visit. Staff is nice and professional, facilities are new and well maintained & regularly cleaned. Cafe is good. For children activities it is better to book in advance. They have wetsuits for children - this helps in cooler weather.

West Country Water Park
Fantastic place to paddle board without a trip to the coast, and very reasonably priced. I have a lot of time for West Country Water Park. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the facilities are good and the on site Cafe is great for a cake and a coffee, with gluten free options and catering for dietary restrictions

I have been coming to the lake approximately once a month since January this year and its safe to say its one of my safe" places..I come here and swim leaving my cares and troubles behind the lake and scenery allow me to take 5 minutes for myself. I love it. The team that manage the park are so good as well. They are so friendly and open and I also love they invite and take on board feedback. They are always striving to improve and provide the best they can. It's such a great balance between serenity and excitement. You guys to a fab job! Thank you"

West Country Water Park
What a great place. It feels like they are investing heavily in improvements and on a warm day it's a great place to spend a couple of hours. We brought our own sups but hire prices are reasonable. The aqua park looks like a lot of fun. I'll have to take my kids soon but unfortunately didn't get to try it on this visit. There isn't anywhere on site for food but they do sell some cold drinks and confectionery.

I simply can not recommend this incredible place enough, so easy to get to from the motorway and literally 15mins from Bristol city centre. It’s a real oasis from city living, surrounded by trees, nature and bee free planted flowers which I love to see when I take a walk or run around the lake. What I love is there’s a wide selection of activities, events available for all ages and abilities. I’ve tried to open water swimming which I love, Supboarding, Supyoga, Moon swims also a few charities events and recently the introduction to windsurfing which was hilarious and very well run. Their attention to your safety/comfort/enjoyment is exceptional and you feel like you’re in very good hands with the staff there. For me the staff make WCWP special, they’re INCREDIBLE, super friendly, helpful, fun, always happy, attentive, making sure you’re ok and professional. Shout out to the amazing Sarah, whose customer service is impeccable. Danny, who’s so genuine and always makes sure you have the best time and is so much fun and last Kegan who again has exceptional customer service. Tbh ALL of the staff are wonderful even the founder is super friendly and approachable and is so full of enthusiasm which is contagious. They have a great cafe run by the lovely Fabien who is so friendly and can answer any of your questions, so even if you don’t want to do any activities just popping by for a drink and a bite to eat is relaxing as the view of the lake when you enter the park and from the cafe are instantly calming and you feel like your on holidays.Love, love, love this place and the friendly community that’s been cultivated there.

Absolutely can't rave highly enough about what Shaun and the team are doing at the lake! Such a great setup, lovely people! Really appreciate Shaun helping me get back into Windsurfing after 20 years out of the sport and giving foil sports a go. After loads of advice and demos I was really chuffed with my new RRD board and foil that Shaun procured for me, as well as some WindSUPs for family and friends to play on. Definitely check the place out!
