Joypad

Joypad were absolutely amazing to have at our wedding and a clear highlight. All our guests were bowled over by getting to battle it out on some classics. George Swain was a fantastic host to the consoles and made sure all our guests had a whale of a time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Joypad to anyone, and may have to get married again just for another hit.

My husband and I are massive nerds and knew we had to get something game related. We booked two Joypods for our wedding in August and we could not have been more pleased with them! If you're thinking about doing it, just do it. During booking George (the owner) gave great suggestions for what to book and kept us informed about what was happening throughout.Our two Joypods came with four retro consoles for four hours during our evening reception. They arrived promptly and were a massive hit with our guests, adult and children alike. Everyone was raving about them even after the day. Each console came with so many games and all the peripherals you could need, they were so much fun. George was on hand to swap games and even gave me tips so that I could absolutely trounce my friend at Goldeneye. They were almost constantly used throughout the evening reception and I know of at least two children and possibly one adult who cried when he had to pack it away.10/10 would definitely book again.

We hired JoyPad for our wedding after seeing them at a wedding fair, and we are both incredibly glad we did as the guests absolutely loved it!The pods are tidy, neat and use genuine consoles and games, including CRT TVs which make retro games look great (and also means light guns work).Having JoyPad provided an excellent break for guests needing a rest from the dance floor. It's also a great way to get the younger or more introverted guests to mingle with each other as opposed to looking bored in the corner.George was very accommodating and easy to communicate with in the run up to the event, and throughout the evening he worked well with guests to make sure that they were well entertained. We could not be happier! Thank you very much!

As soon as we met George at Joypad at a wedding fair all those years ago, we knew we had to book! George has been fantastic from start to finish, and really understanding and accommodating through a 2 year delay and 3 postponements! He was an absolute pleasure to deal with.We had 2 JoyPods (4 consoles) at our wedding which worked perfectly for the number of guests. The JoyPods went down a treat with everyone, and kept both the adults and kids entertained. They also resulted in some brilliant photographs; you could see the pure joy on the kids faces and the competitiveness on the adults!We've had such fantastic feedback from everyone, and a number of our guests are wondering what excuse they can find to book Joypad! George was so friendly with everyone, and extremely knowledgeable.I'd not hesitate in recommending Joypad to anyone so if you're looking for a form of entertainment for a special occasion, Joypad is the way to go!

Joypad were an absolute hit at my wedding - they entertained guests for hours and the staff were amazing! The whole experience started with fabulous communication via email. Their staff have obviously had a wide range of customers with varying levels of knowledge on consoles, screens etc so they provided me with plenty of information! Their wide selection of games were perfect and they made the whole process so easy. When it came to the day, they checked I was still happy with the games I'd chosen prior to arrival and they set up ready for the evening guests, on time and it all looked amazing. The member of staff that attended was lovely to chat to, made my geeky guests feel at home and kept them all company. Really glad I booked Joypad! 5* experience. Many thanks from Sarah & Sam x

Joypad provided entertainment for our Christmas party in 2020 and it was amazing. George was so professional and the set up was really impressive. Everyone had a great time and we would definitely hire again. Thanks George!

We had the pleasure of having Joypad at our wedding as evening entertainment. The guests absolutely loved the edition, something unique and quirky! It was a favourite amongst all generations. George was absolutely great, and the set up looked really good.

George was honestly a pleasure to work with! I was pretty overwhelmed by for the immense collection of games he had for each of the retro consoles and his willingness to help make our corporate event run smoothly and go above and beyond. I would definately use Joypad again and for any video game enthusiast this is the only place to go!

Amazing! Such a fun addition to our wedding, people couldn’t stop commenting on it. It really helps our guests who might not know many other people too. Brilliant communication from the company and great value. Our guests played all night, so much so, my husband didn’t get a chance, so I guess we will hire again for his next birthday party
