Reform Bill Heads (Friar Gate Heads)
A series of sculpted (ceramic) heads partially buried in the ground. The sculpture commemorates the Reform Bill Riots of 1831. The rioters freed prisoners from the gaol and the heads represent condemned prisoners emerging from underground cells into the light. The sculpture was installed as part of the Sustrans cycle route improvements.""
