Fantastic people, myself and another man clipped and hit a swan on the roundabout at Rushden Lakes some other people stopped and helped the swan off the busy road into the dike we rang round, Nobody really wanted to know or couldn’t deal with Swans The Waterfowl Sanctuary came out straight away. He said he’d be there within 40 minutes as they came from God Manchester, then dealt with a Swan at the scene and took the swan off to heal recuperate. Amazing people, we couldn’t have left the Swan at the side of the road to die they came out so quick. thank you so much.

A heartfelt thank you to The Waterfowl Sanctuary for coming out this evening to rescue a juvenile swan in need. I had tried several rescue centres/ vets who either wouldn’t accept a swan or were unable to assist. The team were with us within half an hour and thankfully we could locate the swan safely on a freezing evening at the Somersham Nature Reserve Pocket Park. I know our little feathered friend is in kind, safe and caring hands.

Graham drove from Huntingdon to Spalding at a moments notice to provide first aid and recovery care for a cygnet found on the road outside our house. He instantly put the swan at ease. Thanks Graham. I know that cygnet is in the best care now.

Today I found a wounded baby goose and I found the waterfowl sanctuary, I called and Graham answered straight away, he offered his help immediately. So happy this baby will be mended and have a happy life now at the sanctuary with all the other beautiful birds! I will never forget this day and the kindness Graham offers! Thankyou!

Found a duckling in the garden, couldn’t find its mum and none of the neighbours have a pond or ducks. I rang the vet who wasn’t interested and then found this amazing sanctuary. It is a lovely place with so many ducks, swans and geese. Graham is so caring, kind and friendly. He and his team have saved so many lives and will save so many more. We had a tour of the grounds and it was evident to see how well looked after the birds are.

After finding a sick signet bear Jesus Green Lido at the weekend I eventually managed to make contact with Graham at the Waterfowl Sanctuary. The cygnet was seen staggering across the pathway before collapsing into long grass on the river bank. Several members of the public got quite close to the cygnet and I was concerned he was going to go back in the river I was able to to confine the bird with a towel and asked a member of the public to get a cardboard box from the lido which he did to contain the cygnet Graham arrived a short time later and assessed the cygnet and decided to take him back to the sanctuary for some rest and rehab. It would appear other swans in the area had been picking on him. I cannot thank Graham enough. It was a busy hot Saturday afternoon and myself and my husband had 3 dogs with us and our motorhome was several miles away so we were unable to drive the the cygnet anywhere. So grateful to Graham and the Watrfowl Sanctary for assisting and have made a donation. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely amazing. So nice to call someone about wildlife & they actually care & do what they say they will. Called early Saturday morning about a Swan, sent some pics and videos across of the swan, told me they would let me know when they head over. Could track them all the way (Wow) They arrive mid afternoon, promptly caught the Swan, checked it over, decided it did need to go back to the sanctuary with them & took it to bring it back to full health. Amazing. Thankyou so much!
