Hi ,I would like to Thank all the Staff at the Jubilee Day Care Center. for all the care & understanding that you showed me Today, 23/01/2019,when i came for minor facial surgery to remove a Basel Cell Carcinoma. I arrived late due to the severe weather & heavy trafic. they said it was not a problem and i was quickly seen by the team, who give me 5 star treatment & reasured me evey step of the way. Really I could not have felt more relaxed, with their Charm ,Wit and Humour ..the Surgeon, was fabulous, he explained everything he was going to do before & during the procedure. Michelle kept me very calm & reassured me all was well, as did the nurse who kept talking to me & reassuring me every step of the way. THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH.. Michael Maitland xx

Can’t fault any of the team, arrived at 7:45am, was seen by all the pre op team and was taken through by John who I cannot thank enough, he was calming before, stoic during (as I nearly broke his hand as I got very nervous and upset while being put under being my first time) and caring after along with ALL the other nurses who could not do enough. Quite a major op but I was home by 4pm thanks to this superb team from surgeon, theatre staff, nurses and receptionists, if I could give 10 stars I would

I went to the centre for an operation on my ankle on 20th April 2018. I was feeling very anxious. The staff were lovely and made me feel at ease. I was seen fairly quickly by a nurse, anesthetist, my surgeon who explained the whole process to me so I understood what was happening. Then I saw a physiotherapist who helped me to use crutches safely. I was taken through to get changed for the operation and introduced to Kelly who said she would be with me while I went to sleep. I don't like needles so staff distracted me. When I woke up I was taken to the ward where I was given a cup of tea and encouraged to eat. I was very well looked after. Once i felt ok i was helped to a comfortable chair where I was given anothe cup of tea and monitored to ensure I was ok. I was discharged a few hours later with prescription tablets and injections to do daily. I would highly recommend the centre. Thank you looking after me so well.

On behalf of my father, who was very well looked after during a 5 day stay and who was seen quickly from start to finish. All staff were really friendly, caring and professional. A big thanks to Miss Eardley for giving him confidence from the start.

Staff are very pleasant but waiting times so long gives no consideration to relatives with own problems. My 88 year old mum been here since 1pm for injections and still not been done at 3.50pm and they can't give me an estimate of how long I'll be waiting. The waiting room is very uncomfortable. Have asked if I can wait somewhere with supportive chairs as I have cervical spine arthritis but am told there isn't anywhere!with supp

I went in to the Jubilee day centre yesterday for a tonsillectomy and I genuinely can not fault the place or the staff!Although the waiting time felt like a lifetime, this was only due to the fact that I hadn't eaten or drank in 12 hours. I was seen by 2 nurses and a doctor before going down for my op, all of them super friendly and reassuring (this was my first time in hospital). On going for my anaesthetic there were 4 members of staff in the room all making me extremely comfortable to the point of not noticing the needle in my hand! After the operation I was sent to the ward where I was away from other patients. The nurses were brilliant at this point, they checked on me every 30 minutes, encouraged me to eat & drink and I could even hear them asking about me in the corridor! Right up until I left at 6:30pm I was looked after to the highest standard.... brilliant centre with even more brilliant staff, thoroughly deserves 5 stars, can't thank them enough.

The Jubilee Unit is a shining example of what our precious NHS should aspire to at all times. Caring hard working staff who manage to keep things friendly and calm even in the most worrying of circumstances. Thank you to everyone who looked after me during my short stay.
