This is a slightly late review from before covid, but I've meaning to write it for a while.We decided to build a cobb pizza oven in our back garden. For this, you need local clay. So we rang these guys up, told them what we wanted (7 bags of clay). Come on up, they said, and we'll see what we can do. So up we trundled in the trustee Fiat Uno.It's safe to say the quarry is not the fiat uno's natural habitat. So the manager came down and took us in his big truck to the clay face. Gilbert came down with his digger and got us a scoop full of clay. In the meantime, the boss took us on a mini tour and explained the geology. Gilbert bagged up the clay and we chucked it in the uno.It's fair to say we were not their typical customers, but they took a great deal of time and effort to help us get what we needed for our project. A lovely team of people who went above and beyond. Would recommend!

A great company to deal with, polite, helpful and well informed on their products. The type of the sand we needed was critical to the success of our project so samples were sent to me in advance, and the product I received was exactly as sampled. The 8 deliveries were carried out by drivers you were helpful and accommodating despite the poor weather conditions, and communications were brilliant in that each load was phoned ahead to advise me of an estimated time of delivery. MB Wilkes provided a 5* service from beginning to end and are highly recommended.

Whilst delivering our order the driver drove over the man hole cover on our driveway, shattering it into pieces and into the hole. This could have been avoided if the driver had got out of his cab to check where he was driving first. When I contacted their office the lady I emailed couldn’t have been less interested and said that they weren’t responsible for the damage because we had invited the driver on to our property! No apology, no payment for damage! Dreadful customer service, avoid this company!

Used a few grab companies and these guys are absolutely brilliant. Martin was extremely helpful and went the extra mile to make my life easier. Highly recommend.
