Stock Road Household Waste Recycling Centre

Well organised BUT....How many male employees does it take to stand around doing NOTHING and watch whilst a lone woman struggles to lift a garden bag to shoulder height to get the contents into bins that most woman cannot reach regardless of the weight of the contents..I'm an active woman who strength trains but I can't out do my genetics....maybe employ a few enlightened men and maybe build the bins so every gender can use them not just males. Shame as the site is well organised but the sign saying thank for showing staff respect as you leave is ironic beyond belief when most of the male gender in there cannot show any whilst you're there or in return.I'm not a here to entertain you, if you do not want to help maybe not watch...

Extremely rude and unhelpful guy on main gate entrance, he was not checking anyone's id on way in, and when I asked where in site do I take old wood, he kept shouting angrily WOOD" back at me. After him screaming this 3 times I drove in and another guy told me exactly where to take it."

No nonsense, we'll controlled and go anytime without booking. Very helpful staff who keep their cool even when dealing with those that understand simple rules and become abusive. Well done

The staff are friendly, recycling facilities and access to a variety of options for sorting different products to help reduce waste to landfill. Unfortunately, the volume of people using it at times leads to long queues, so go prepared to wait 20 or 30 mins then when you drive straight in, it will be a surprise. It is closed on a Thursday so peak times revolve around that, as well as the weekend.

Some members of staff very grumpy and very helpless just watching....Absence of an equipment to carry heavy items.

Jordan was really helpful in the recycling shop on my last visit, selling me unusual items I could only ever find there!From my experience, all the staff at Stock Road Waste/Recycling centre are friendly and only too willing to help when you ask.I check the shop on a semi regular basis and Simon, Jordan and Steve etc. are always a pleasure, love that recycling shop... ♻️

It is always busy but it doesn’t take long for you are done the staff are helpful

Not much of a wait, the staff were helpful and friendly. Happy to help if needed. One of the gentleman who works there is a laugh, didn't catch his name unfortunately.
