Tim Carter - Artisan Glass & Slate Plaques

Timothy produced an absolutely first class sign for our property. Craftwork of the highest quality and a very professional person to work with.

Tim did a really high quality job at a very fair price on Victorian stained glass panels in the front lobby of our house. The panels had sustained several areas of damage: Tim inspected them, made helpful suggestions on repair and future protection of the glass and then carried through the work efficiently and on time. We were very pleased with the high quality result and would certainly employ Tim again on similar work.

Delighted with Tim's service. We have used Tim on a number of occasions to restore and create new leaded window panels from old painted and stained glass. His attention to detail is superb and has intigrated new glass to complete panels if required. The service is excellent and Tim takes time to discuss the projects with us and deliver a first class result. I would recommend Tim to anyone.

We commissioned a wall sculpture from Tim. Based on some loose ideas we provided, he came back with several designs that we were able to refine before making our choice. The final result was beautiful. We have been so delighted that we have been back to buy one of his light sculptures - I love the tree and it looks amazing when it's lit. Tim also made us a beautiful glass wall shelf for one of our wedding presents. We cannot recommend Tim highly enough - he is very helpful & friendly, and his work is beautiful.

I bought a number plate from Tim and it is absolutely amazing. So different to so many out there and exceptionally well made. Really happy with my purchase and Tim has been incredible with his customer service. All round great experience so would highly recommend.

Tim made a beautiful plaque for our new house. I was able to choose different font sizes for the name and number. The whole process was quick and efficient and the plaque arrived with clear fitting instructions.

Having never dealt with Tim before, I had seen photos of house signs & numbers on his web site, but never seen one in the flesh.Tim was very responsive with his emails, not only replying quickly, but also offering advice. My sign was despatched in just under 2 weeks from order date, tracking info also supplied.My sign was extremely well packaged, with virtually no chance of it being damaged, I feel it would withstood the most angry courier having a bad day.The quality is superb, beautifully crafted & looks fantastic, I was & still am very pleased.I took the option of the LED light, Tim even asked me how long I needed the cable to be. The LED transformer is also Waterproof, with easy to follow instructions. Tim even supplied the screws for fixing.The LED gives a great option of having the house sign clearly visible at night.I would not hesitate to recommend him, I assure you you will not be disappointed

Tim is a wonderful person to do business with! He grasped the concept of what we wanted immediately for our bespoke house sign and produced a picture of what it would look like immediately. He worked closely with us on the fine detail and now we are the envy of the neighbourhood with our special Oystercatcher sign!

Tim repaired Victorian stained glass panels in our front door very sensitively and carefully.He is an accomplished professional craftsman.He also made a piece of stained glass to be incorporated in a new conservatory. This again was done brilliantly with excellent leading work. A beautiful piece!I wish we had had more done.We also have a piece of sand blasted glass with a fern design. Very intricate and beautifully made.Tim is an excellent artist and craftsman.I recommend him wholeheartedly.ADDITION: March 2021I was given a piece of Tim Carter 's work as a present. I was thrilled!Tim makes beautiful etched glass table lights which have very delicate and intricate decoration. See photo.I already have a large piece of Tim' s work, a lovely fern, which is again sandblasted and is wall mounted on slate but without the light. These more recent pieces are lit by a small L. E. D light and that brings a different dimension to the work. Not only can you see all the beautiful fine detail but it gives it a magical atmospheric feel.I have known Tim for several years and am aware that he is very gifted in many crafts. I have used him to make a stained glass panel, to repair stained glass Victorian door panels. He works meticulously, thoughtfully and sympathetically through many disciplines.These latest lamps are a step to a higher level in craftsmanship and design.Tim is very gifted and always produces sensitive and aesthetically pleasing work.What a lovely present!
