I’d have no hesitation in recommending Aaron and South Edinburgh Joinery. They helped us renovate our home. This involved major internal alternations: knocking out a wall between living room and dining room to form a new open plan kitchen/ diningroom; and internal alterations to an existing side extension to create a new bedroom & en-suite and open gallery at upper level.We started the process with some trepidation. We’d had friends who’d had a bad experience of a builder disappearing with renovations half done and the contract sum mostly paid. This has not been our experience. We’ve been very impressed by Aaron and his team:- Really happy with the quality of all the work- Any problems, they fixed it. (eg. a new extractor fan that they fitted was noisy – they replaced with little fuss).- The work was completed to schedule.- They have made some very helpful suggestions about how things could be done slightly differently from the original plan.- Only additional costs were because (a) scope of work increased (b) we changed our minds on something.- We lived in the property during the renovations (and we’ve a couple of young children) but they worked around us as best they could in terms of the staging of the work and giving us a living space.- They were clean workers (Though if you’re having internal work done, don’t underestimate the amount of dust it creates!)Overall, it was much easier than expected, we’re really please with the result and we’d have no hesitation in recommending Aaron and his team.

Great job doing a boiler enclosure in my kitchen. Everything was spot on and place was left nice and tidy. Fully professional service start to finish. Highly recommend these guys.

I called at the weekend to request a quote and he asked if he could visit at 8am on Tuesday to look at work required on my windows. I took time off work to be here, took the locks off my windows and removed furniture from in front of the windows. He didnt arrive at 8am on Tuesday so I called him at 8.15. He said he had forgot because he was going on holiday. Total waste of my time. If you cant keep appointments dont make them.

We used South Edinburgh Joinery to replace our old wooden external staircase in a colonies style house. This was complicated by access and us living in a conservation area. We opted for a steel staircase which has looks fantastic. The team were so responsive to queries.We couldn't recommend this firm highly enough. Will definitely used again.
