visited this bookshop on 7/1/23 looking for a birthday gift for a friend. the service was very friendly and the lady who served us also gave us some very helpful recommendations for our visit to the town. a lovely bookshop!

I visited in September last year when we were on holiday in the area, and I'm still thinking about it! Can't wait to go back, the owner was lovely, and there's a great selection of books. A perfect little bookshop in a perfect little harbour town - a must visit!

We visited today 9th June while on holiday, my 11 year old daughter having watched all the LOTR books wanted to read the books for herself, the owner took the time to tell her lots of things about each of the two books she chose, she was warm, friendly and engaging and clearly very knowledgeable. It’s plain to see this couple of brilliant booksellers are book lovers, when we left we both said to each other what a beautiful shop it was and how welcome we felt.

Lovely decorated and presented bookshop. The owner is warm and friendly. You don't leave the bookshop with books in a boring plastic bag. (Great idea.) Definitely will be back.

I really really like this bookshop. Just the right size to browse and actually find a book you want without having to wade through the monster stacks in the chain bookstores which make me lose hope I will ever find anything! The description on each bookcase is fun and refreshingly honest! If you are passing through Kirkcudbright I recommend that you look in! Owner nice and friendly too!

Lovely little bookshop with creative displays highlighting innovative and different titles. Very friendly staff. Would have loved to have spent more time there.
