I now understand their low ratings. We asked if they could do a cheese sandwich for our grandson, rather than cheese and ham. So we left and went to a cafe down the road with great service.

I have been going to Jungs for over 15 years and have never been disappointed. The service is always first class and the food especially the bakery is unbelievable! Recently, my partner called to ask they could help with a last minute bread & pastry basket and the photo does not do it justice. Richard happened to be in the office and took care of everything, it is not often people are so accommodating and friendly!

First impressions was very good. It was exactly 30 mins between ordering and food arriving. Food menu choice was good but can only be viewed via QR code. One meal was missing the cream cheese and the other had lukewarm beans, however all other food was delicious. Cutlery was dirty. I asked the young male for some butter and he just pointed at it next to him and walked off. Another young lady saw the look on my face and very quickly fetched the butter for us (thank you). The place has a good feel to it but is let down by very preventable things. Great Coffee

Came in for tea and cake.Order 1 wrong, scrambled eggs instead of turkish eggs. Took a while to sort but kudos to them they did. The poached eggs were fried and so overdone.Order 2 of french toast was limp brioche dipped in egg, no honey and not sweet. Asked for some and repeatedly told 'its on there' or 'manager before getting some on side and being told its on there but maybe not enough for you. It tasted of nothing. Roasted coconut on menu was sprinkled dessicated coconute

Place was welcoming and ambience was very good with a good choice and selection on the menu. However, they got order on the food wrong as we were a party of 8 who ordered a selection of cakes and coffee and 2 orders of breakfast . Both then breakfast orders were incorrect and nor quite what was anticipatedThe waiter was quite helpful but the meal took twice as long to finish.

£3.70 PER COLD SAUSAGE ROLL !....SMALLER THAN THE SIZE OF A CAN OF DRINK...RUBBERY / SPONGY PASTRY AND NOT FRESH. ALSO VERY BLAND. NEVER AGAIN. MAYBE SOMEONE FROM JUNGS SHOULD TRY AND VISIT A SIMMONDS BAKERY AS A BENCHMARK!. STAFF NOT VERY CUSTOMER FRIENDLY!.

Nice place, staff are friendly and service is good. Good choice of lunch dishes. I had the bacon, brie and cranberry toastie this is served with chips. Delicious and very filling. Lots of tables inside and out, it was a rainy and blustery day so we were inside. A few parking spaces outside but plenty of other parking in the town not far away. Always a popular place have been many times over the years and will be back again.

Came to Google to review Jungs (June 2021), then realised I had first reviewed this place six years ago! Long and short is that it’s overpriced, no table service but looks like a restaurant (literally you have to collect your own cutlery, poke around inside to find salt and pepper etc, I asked for ketchup and the guy who liked like the owner mumbled something incomprehensible then walked off, but did come back with ketchup in packets...) looks on the outside like a really decent establishment, maybe good for foodies - sadly it’s a basic cafe which is overpriced. For somewhere that sells bread for a living, the toast in my club sandwich was dry, all crust and no bread. Size years ago I gave it one star, for various reasons which to be honest haven’t changed, but thought I would update my findings to two star having lunched here today with a fresh set of eyes (which, to be honest, had completely forgotten I thought the place was poor). Back then I complained that a sandwich costing £7 really should be a high-end sandwich but it was nothing more than basic. Today that doesn’t seem too excessive, though this time I was charged £12 for sandwich and can of drink with small side of fries. Not too bad but I’d expect a top end sarnie for that. Salad was brown... I asked what the best thing in the menu was, and the club sandwich was recommended. Back then it was unfriendly, no sense of local feel or recognition despite going there regularly and seeing the same people. Same same... I would say lunch food is overpriced. Cross the road and go to the generic looking Beech House where the food is actually half decent.
