Nottingham Panthers Ice Hockey Club

My first Ice Hockey match and really enjoyed it, exciting end to end stuff. Some corny tannoy stuff but it added to the atmosphere. Good views from the seats, plenty of food and drink outlets (bit pricey but that was expected) all in all a good time was had.

It’s a decent night out, especially if you’re an ice hockey fan. But if not, it’s certainly worth going to at least one in your life. The hockey is a decent standard and the NIC is the nicest arena in the league, so you’ll be spoilt with good sightlines, atmosphere, space etc.Tickets are easy to come by – just buy them from the website and you’ll be sent an e-ticket. The most popular games are against the arch-rival Sheffield Steelers, and tickets go fast if they’re in town. Easier to get against the other teams. If you’re a student, take advantage of the student deals!Food & drink is reasonably priced and there’s an on-site shop so that you can buy Panthers merchandise.In general, the games have a good atmosphere and the Panthers fans are a die-hard bunch. It can be lacking if they’re playing a rubbish team, but against big teams like Sheffield & Cardiff – it’s worth going to.If you’ve never watched ice hockey before and you’re tempted, this is the best place in the country to do it! Nottingham, Belfast and Glasgow offer the nicest fan experience so take advantage if you’re in Nottingham and you’re wanting something to do for an evening.

Attended our first Panthers match the other day. Whilst the overall experience was enjoyable there are a few points that i feel are worth a mention to anyone considering a visit.The arena is situated in the heart of Nottingham and is one of those venues that sits on the side of a main city centre road...but on a busy day can be extremely difficult for someone unfamiliar with Nottingham to get to a parking spot within a reasonable distance of it !. Especially as you find yourself trying to avoid bus lanes, stay within average speed limits and avoid other road users who are obviously more familiar with the roads !.We seemed to go around quite a few times before spotting a car park signed as Arena parking". Having arrived at what can be best described as a gravel strewn wet dustbowl full of puddles which at first sight appeared to resemble a demolition site

This is actually a really nice arena, I was not quite prepared for it, as I didn't think that ice hockey was very popular in England. If the Panthers are playing, it's a great and relatively cheap night of fun. The seats are close to the action and all have great views.

Very exciting enjoyed my first experience there a few weeks back

Visiting an Ice Hockey game is something everyone should do at least once. Its a cheesty affair with lots of fun and songs from the past. Everyone I went with wants me to organise it again!

Fantastic atmosphere and a great team support. Great family night out.

Enjoy the ice hockey, but the price of food/ at the outlets is very expensive. As they class this as a family" sport it would prove to be very very expensive to take a family of Mum
