We had a very pleasant walk around the larger part of the reservoir. The path is mostly tarmac and there are plenty of choices of routes to take. There's also a free car park.

Beautiful area for walking & fishing. Really tranquil area, & plenty of walking options apart from just walking around the lakes! The walk from Knypersley Reservoir to The Cauldon Canal is absolutely delightful! You won't meet many people, which is always a bonus when hiking, but you follow the little feeder streams that run through the beautiful valley & end up at The Cauldon Canal, which then goes on to form the River Trent!.I must add, Knypersley Pool is not a paddleboarding lake, & I don't think I should of been on, however I read everything I could online, & at the lake itself, & it just says no swimming, though I've seen plenty if people swimming in there over the years! But just because it doesn't say no paddleboarding, it doesn't mean it's allowed!!! But it's been my local lake for over 40 years, so I just had to do a couple of laps, & it was stunning!! I also make sure that I clean my SUP after every paddle. 1 to keep it clean & in good condition. 2, so as to not transfer anything that could spread from one body of water to another, as I literally paddle all over the place, from Buttermere in The Lake District to The Cauldon Canal, & everything in between! Currently making plans to go up to Loch Lomond, & paddle to the different islands & set up camp from one! So expect a Loch Lomond review in the near future!

Lovely place, very clean and paths relatively well kept. Visit the waterfall if you have chance. Great place to see wildlife - robins were out today and very friendly.

A lovely place for an afternoon stroll, you might only find fishermen and dog walkers on your journey. I saw very little litter and the dog walkers cleared up after their dogs. The pictures tell the story

Knypersley Reservoir
Lovely walk. 2 routes round. One smaller pool with another attached to make a bigger walk. It does state dogs on leads however I've seen plenty off. My dog loves it there.

Really lovely spot on the edge of Stoke on Trent. Great place to park and enjoy a ramble around the reservoir and beyond.

Take the dogs for their walks here quite regular. Beautiful place, great trails, loads of wildlife. However, the amount of dog poo bags that get left either in the bushes or hanging on trees is disapointing. There are bins on the car parks for the disposal of this waste.

Knypersley Reservoir
Nice mixture of flat-ish gravel/pathway walks and more off-track routes (some November muddy trails - boots needed!). Can spend an hour - or a few - taking it all in. Relaxing, wonderful scenery, lots to see - including the Warden’s Tower, a (smallish) waterfall and highly recommended and mythical Gawton’s Well (“the most spiritual place in Staffordshire”). Even as a sceptic, there is a vibe around that area!
