Dog Haven Boarding

We heard about Lorain through a personal recommendation. We are grateful for the care she has given our dog Milo. A natural with dogs. Also been amazing when we have had to change plans. Wouldn’t have any hesitation in recommending her.

I’ve always hated the idea of kennels so this is the perfect alternative; I think our lab ‘Poppy’ had a better holiday than we did when went away this year. She even got an unexpected doggy pampering day!We have used Dog Haven Boarding to cover long days, the occasional overnighter and for the first time this year, a whole week whilst we were away. Poppy was so well looked after, she becomes one of the family for the week.Highly recommend!

Our black lab loves going twice a week and he is treated like a member of the family. We cannot recommend it highly enough. A fantastic friendly service where the wellbeing of the dog is taken very seriously. First class and much appreciated....thank you.

Our little dog just loves going to Dog Haven Boarding. She stays whenever we go away. When we drop her off she is always really keen to get in. So it’s like a holiday for her too. We would never send her to a kennels as I am sure she would hate it but thanks to Lorain we can go away without feeling guilty!

I would absolutely recommend Dog Haven Boarding. Silvie receives the best care and attention when she stays there. I have used Dog Haven several times and will continue to do so as Silvie is very happy there and I feel totally comfortable leaving her in such good hands. It is a true home from home. Lorain and her family really get to know and understand the dogs and their needs. I’m so glad to have found such an excellent place for Silvie to stay.

I can't recommend Lorain highly enough. She clearly loves dogs, and they clearly love being with her - dog people will understand what this means. I always used to feel guilty going on holiday and taking my black lab to kennels. Not any more. As soon as we are near Dog Haven he knows exactly where he is and is visibly excited and happy. Loraine sends through regularly updates during the stay and I'm always happy knowing that our dog is being well cared for.

Lorain has a gift for taking care of my dog. She is gentle and kind and understands the needs of my elderly and slightly grumpy dog. It's a lovely family environment where my dog is loved like one of the family. I enjoyed the daily photo update too. I can't recommend Lorain highly enough.

Dog Haven Boarding is a home away from home for my characterful little dog! She goes for day care, occasional overnight stays and longer periods when I’m on holiday and I have peace of mind when she is there. She trots in very happily (always keen to give Lorain a kiss!) and comes home tired after a fun and stimulating time. Lorain and her family offer lots of love and the best care to the dogs they look after. They are properly licensed and have high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail when it comes to looking after different dogs’ needs. I would definitely recommend Dog Haven Boarding.

We have used Dog Haven Boarding on numerous occasions and it is a god send for our two little fur babies! We were not keen with putting our dogs in kennels, particularly as our little Yorkipoo is very needy, so when we found Lorain and her family offering daycare, overnight stays, including holidays in a home environment we were so pleased.We went for an initial visit to meet Lorain and to see how our dogs would enjoy the stay, and interact with Lorain’s own lovely labradors.It is a clean home, with a good sized, safe enclosed garden for the dogs to play and enjoy the outdoors. They are also taken for walks outside of the house in small groups during daycare on leads, as safety of the dogs is taken seriously. I think this is really important for routine and also provides further stimulation. Photo updates during the day gives reassurance and is a nice touch.After daycare, on collection, both our dogs appear very happy, so we know they have been well looked after whilst in daycare with Lorain and often are very keen to get back into the house when we return.We also used Dog Haven Boarding for our first holiday away since we got the dogs and we were very anxious. Lorain listened to our requirements and met all the needs for our dogs whilst we were away. So it was easy to enjoy our time away without worrying about the dogs. Again the photo and video updates really helped us to stay relaxed and not worry so much.Lorain is very approachable and has a lovely manner. She often responds at short notice and she is totally amazing with our dogs.If you are considering a home environment for daycare or whilst you are on holiday, I would highly recommend using Dog Haven Boarding!
