I was looking for a cake decorating course that would provide me with the basics of cake decorating, in a professional environment, with a reputable and highly skilled teacher. After much research, I decided to go to The London Cake Company.Samantha was fun, knowledgeable, and patient.I learnt how to make the perfect buttercream recipe and was very pleased with the ending results as it tasted very delicious.If your looking for cake decorating classes, you’ve found the best and I would recommend them to everyone.Thank you for all your help Samantha and I will never forget what I have learnt.Mary

Fantastic week at TLCA for the Buttercream course. Samantha was a great teacher, explaining each technique clearly (and patiently when it took me some time to master!). I have learnt so much and can't wait to practice everything I learnt. I hope to be back again to learn another aspect of cake decorating in more detail. Thanks so much!

I was looking for a sugar paste/fondant cake decorating class and my daughters gave me this class as a birthday present. I am so glad, as I learnt a lot with Samantha of The London Cake Academy.Samantha was fun, knowledgeable, and very patient with me.I learnt how to make buttercream, layer a cake, crumbcoat and cover the cake. I also learnt how to make rose flowers from sugarpaste, several flowers with leafs, and even teddy bear toppers. I felt at ease with her and will go back for more classes.

I had been looking for ages for a cake decoration course which only dealt with buttercream and was relieved to finally find the Buttercream Basics course here. The tutor Sam was great, so patient and kept me going through the parts I found difficult. I was amazed at how many techniques there were to use with buttercream and learnt so much in a short space of time.

I really enjoyed the floral cake class with Samantha. She made sure to teach me as many techniques and tips as possible and she was very patient and kept encouraging me until i finally succeeded in making some very nice flowers! Samantha is very practical, friendly and passionate about her work. She has the interest of the participant at heart and always wants to make sure they are having fun while getting value for their money. I highly recommended The London Cake Academy for anyone interested in learning baking tips and new techniques. I will definitely book other classes with Samantha.

Samantha ran a really fantastic and thorough class. I learnt so many new skills and had a really enjoyable day! I’m definitely more confident in my cake decorating skills now and looking forward to trying out what Samantha taught me!
