A party of 7 of us sat down for lunch. We all chose the Sunday roast carvery option. Very nice, generous portions and good value for money. Good attentive service.

Had a.lovely Sunday roast here at a reasonably typical price. The plate was full - meat sliced and served to you, everything else help yourself. Service was good too. First visit, but will go again when in the area (we live about 35 miles away, but travel in that direction quite often).

Met friends for lunch at Walnut Tree - lovely place, friendly staff, good food.We really enjoyed it and would recommend.(A communication hiccup between orders taken and kitchen, so a couple of minor mistakes with the food brought, which the waitress offered to get rectified, so that was OK.)

We had a party of 13 and came here for a birthday lunch. Sunday carvery was the main choice, with a gluten-free option, plus some nut roasts and a goats cheese salad. The wait staff was impressive, recalling who she'd asked about drinks and approaching latecomers as they arrived in order to make sure all had been catered for. Good food was enjoyed by all.

A very warm welcome from man behind bar. Room warm and comfy. Couldn't use shower gel provided as dispenser top came off in my hand. Other than that all good. Breakfast was amazing.

We met friends for lunch as it was a mid way point! Lovely pub with good service and very reasonably priced! Our roast was lovely... thank you Ron! And for rescuing us that's genuinely great service! We shall be back.

We were a small party of family and friends celebrating a Golden Wedding anniversary at lunchtime. The service was first class, the staff friendly and able to deal with the confusion caused by some of our party when ordering! The food was excellent and the atmosphere relaxing and enjoyable. A truly great exerience.

I never stayed here, l dined in the pub, it must have been slow the day we dined, l counted the times the waitress checked us, at least 21 times and not just one maybe two waitresses, l found it annoying. They never physically came to our table just kept checking around the corner and we had paid up and still checked, efficient was maybe the word and when needed they were of course on the ball! Dog friendly in the conservatory area. Food was usual pub grab and my wife has been before and mentioned the menu doesn't change, no specials board.My wife likes the place l will not be returning, the food is tasty etc l just do not like being watched, it's not as if l am famous!

We had lovely food. The service was a bit slow, but well worth the wait. Fairly reasonably priced. My only complaint was that they grind their coffee beans for the coffee machine at the bar, and its terribly noisy. Other than that it was great.

Fantastic food and service, the young girl serving us was great loved banter and a great smileMore seriously the gluten free options for us was a must,with my wife being coeliac , their range on the menu was fabI can't recommend this enough , except don't all crowd there I wanna still get a table next weekend lol
