Shekinah Yoga Retreat

We booked in to stay one night at the retreat, it was a last minute decision as we wanted a night indoors (we're living in a van) We booked the retreat room on the day of our stay and paid a deposit, looking forward to the stay we set off from weston-super-mare but sadly we broke down with electrical problems only 15 miles into the journey. I called ahead and told the staff we were having issues and could be later than expected, I asked if the room was available the following night in case we didn't make it- it wasI spent the next two hours trying the fault find and resolve the problem but at this point it was pretty much dark and so we decided to stay where we were on the side of the busy road. Not the romantic night at the retreat we planned for.So I called the retreat again knowing we couldn't make it that evening and asked if we could book in for the next night. Not possible unless you pay the full amount" I can understand you're running a business and rules are rules but I felt this is quite a mean spirited way of dealing with the situation. I mean

This is one of my favourite places on the planet. An oasis of calm. The ashram is a place of work and devotion. I have stayed here many times, always choosing to stay in the yurt, which is found in the garden. My visits have been to explore solitude, mediation and quiet. The strict vegan food is delicious. The place is simple and very welcoming.

This is one of my favorite places it's the best most consistent place to stay and help and chant and lots of other classes and dancing, bring your best beautiful self and be blessed,

Have stayed and visited the ashram many times, it is a truly inspiration and unique place! The people and atmosphere, live kirtan music on a Friday night are wonderful... It is a great place to visit and stay at for a personal retreat or to enjoy their weekly program of meditation and other wonderful things...Food is fantastic they serve a really healthy and wholesome lunch!

Wonderful bhakti yoga retreat in the heart of Avalon, on the way to Glastonbury Tor. Looking forward to running our Autumn Yoga weekend there in October!
