We enjoyed our visit to this lively Caribbean restaurant. We tried the curried goat, salt fish, jerk chicken and the chicken in brown gravy. Everything we tried was tasty and the portions are generous. The atmosphere is great, the service is quick and friendly and they have more than 100 types of rum on the menu. Great restaurant

Had a fantastic time the customer service was on point staff attentive without being intrusive, enjoyed my saltfish fritters, seabream, Mac n cheese and baileys cheesecake. My partner also enjoyed his stew chicken with rice n peas and festivals. The atmosphere was buzzing with some sweet music.

We visited this busy and lively Caribbean restaurant at around 6pm on a Monday evening. It was pretty full and we were given the last available table, in the window, which is raised and has stools. Firstly I would say that the music is loud and not background at all but then I am approaching 60 and prefer to hear what someone says when I'm having a conversation. If you are adverse to loud noise, and don't want to have to raise your voice, to be able to be heard across the table, you may wish to look elsewhere. That said, the food was great and the service was fairly swift. The waiting staff were extremely busy, so we did have to work a little to catch their attention. The food was excellent, the Goat Curry was rich and tasty without being over spiced, rice and peas were good and perfectly cooked, the carrot and cabbage mix on the side, was also delicious and still had some bite. Be aware that there may be bone in your Goat Curry. This is to be expected and in fact, makes it that much more authentic. They do have their own homemade hot pepper sauce available on the table and it was very tasty. Similar to the Encona hot pepper sauce you can buy in a supermarket but with some added smoothness to the heat. The slow cooked Jerk Pork Belly was also very tasty and excellent, overall. It was a large portion with three good thick slices. Two were lovely and crispy but one had no crispness to it and the fatty layer on top was soft, which made that one piece less appetising and resulted in having to dissect the fat from the meat, so it could be left to one side.We ordered one sticky toffee pudding with custard to share. The pudding was slightly overspiced with cinnamon and had the smallest amount of sticky toffee sauce that we have ever encountered. The custard was a good consistency and tasty.A bottle of fresh cold tap water in an attractive blue bottle was served prior to the meal, which is a lovely touch. I cannot comment on the drinks as we only required water. A standard, optional 10% service charge is added to the bill. It is lovely to see printed at the bottom of the bill, that 100% of the tips go to the staff. That is most excellent and should be applauded. It is certainly not the industry standard but it should be. So well done Caribbean Croft.Any comments made, are of course my own opinions and made in the hope that it may help the establishment to improve by some small degree. Since I belive that this particular establishment cares about the food it serves and also the customers that it pleases.Based on this visit alone. I feel that a 4 star rating is a fair reflection of our experience.

Had a flying visit to Bristol and needed somewhere to eat in a rush, close to bus station, before I got a flight home. Staff were great, took my order quickly so I had time to relax and eat. Food was really tasty, a generous portion size and reasonably priced.
