Phil and his team have given Pat Wicks, Wife, Mum, Nan and Great Nan the most wonderful and personal send off that the family could have wished for!!! Lorraine Inglis, The Celebrant, was amazing !! I cannot praise Kingfisher staff, Philip and Andrew, at St.Neots enough, for the compassion, and professionalism, with which they conducted Keith's recent funeral. It was exactly as we wanted it to be, and the Civil Celebrant,Carol Patton was wonderful.

After my mother's sudden passing in December 2022, I took on board the task of finding a funeral director. One of the key factors that made me choose to call Kingfisher in the first place was the transparency of costs on their website down to the smallest detail in black and white. No hidden charges and this was the type of honesty I needed at that very difficult time. They were also very competitive on costs compared to other funeral directors in the area (Cambridgeshire) and the Kingfisher bird was one of my mother's favourites too, so it seemed fitting. Additionally, when I told the hospital which funeral directors I had chosen, they told me, I had made the best choice as their level of care goes above and beyond similar ones in the same area.Although, Kingfisher are only a small team, the level of service is impeccable. Each member of the team is friendly, reassuring and professional and all queries were answered promptly. I had never been to a funeral director's office before and did not know what to expect in my first face-to-face meeting. I envisaged some sort of dark, dreary place, but this could not have been further from the truth. I was sat in a quiet, but bright and airy room around a circular table with Phillip and Julie who explained in a very clear, calm and compassionate manner the finer details of my requirements.We chose to have a Civil Celebrant and they recommended Marie who did an excellent job, meeting myself and my brothers to get a feel for our late mother so that she could best represent her life at the funeral service. She was also of great comfort in these difficult times having lost people close to her too.Kingfisher also offered a streaming service for people who lived too far away to travel to the ceremony. Nothing was too much trouble for Marie, Julie and Phillip. Julie even made a special trip out to my mother's apartment to pick up an outfit for my mother as I could not decide on which one and had been deliberating for far too long. Additionally, I was particularly impressed with Phillip who between the passing of my mother and her funeral contracted a very severe cold/flu, yet still stayed on top of the arrangements and I was very pleased to see him on the day well on the road to recovery.I cannot recommend Kingfisher Independent Funeral Directors enough. If you want a funeral director that is kind, compassionate, understanding, reassuring, competent and timely, then Kingfisher Independent Funeral Directors should be your first and only choice.

I found Phil and his team really sensitive, efficient and always on hand wherever I (or they) were, always returned calls and always there for sensitive, gentle and sometimes mildly humorous chats that helped enormously. You only get one chance to go through this, and they did it so efficiently. They also have access to really good websites to make spreading the word more easily, and also make donations and photo contributions etc. Thanks an awful lot, Phil.Much appreciated.Bruce and all my lovely family & friends.

Arranging a funeral for family members is something that we all dread having to do.From the first call made on the morning of our dad's passing we experienced nothing but compassion, dignity and reassurance.Their attention to detail in taking us through the process gave us complete confidence that we were receiving a trusted professional service where nothing was ever too much trouble.There are many examples but one which resonates is when Phillip collected dad, he took the time to remake the bed before they left which we found respectful.Andrew's continued advice and support was excellent. His knowledge and experience enabled us as a family to make the decisions that we wanted. He explained everything in detail and advocated on our behalf with other professionals. There was no hard sell or hidden costs, he simply took the time to get to know us which enabled him to give us the right options to choose from. The contemporary order of service that they designed for us really captured dad's personality and interests beautifully. I can also recommend the florists that they suggested, the yellow roses display for the coffin was stunning.We were delighted in being able to have Nicki as the celebrant. We had previously had her looking after our mum's and other relatives services. As previously remembered, she was warm and compassionate, and once again, turned our rambled memories into a full and humorous celebration of dad's life, which is what he wanted.I cannot recommend Kingfishers highly enough, they are a truly Outstanding Professional Service and gave us all that we could have wished for. I would like to thank Scott and his team for their exceptional kindness, compassion and hard work they put in arranging my Father-in-Law's burial.This is the second time I have used Kingfisher the first time for my Mum's funeral which was a cremation.I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
