Kintail Birds of Prey Argyll - Falconry Experiences

We booked the 1.5 hour falcon experience. Great communication prior to arrival; we arrived early and still no problem. Felt like first class VIP service - visiting during the Autumn/Winter definitely helped. We had Joanne the owner all to ourselves. Her knowledge and experience is very clear. We felt safe and supported to try and hold a little Owl, Peregrine Falcon and a Goshawk. The Golden Eagle is stunning! The birds also look very well looked after and the surrounding are very peaceful. You can take photos. There is a toilet and a wee shop. Highly recommend for families with children who are obsessed with animals…

Despite the heavy rain we had a wonderful time at Kintail Birds of Prey centre. Joanne is so knowledgeable and was brilliant with our 2 granddaughters aged 6 and 8 who thoroughly enjoyed themselves especially handling and flying the owls. What a wonderful set up and array of birds. My husband and I plan to return for a longer experience when we are next back in Scotland.

We had a brilliant experience here on Friday. We were looking for something to do for a while whilst on holiday and this place didn't disappoint. The drive to get there on the single track road isn't the best but we'll worth the drive.We took our son (2yr old) and never for a minute thought he'd be anywhere near the birds but he held owls and falcons and was in his element. He even left with the obligatory cuddly toy.Fantastic!

After a bit of confusion over the booking, I took my grandson . Not very easy to find as no signposts, and my phone dropped out of signal. However, that aside, it was a great visit, which he thoroughly enjoyed far more than expected. He was able to hold and feed and fly some of the birds, which kept him completely engaged. Definitely recommend.

With huge thanks to the Kintail Birds of Prey team, our family had just THE best experience. The guide was so welcoming and knowledgeable. We got to meet the all the Kintail stars and learned all about their behaviours, habitats and biology. Such great wee characters. The set up at Kintail is superb, we would recommend it and will be back again.

This was one of the best things I have ever done. We held, fed and flew some amazing birds. The Golden Eagle was magnificent, although I think I am a little in love with Dougle the little owl. The rain didn't dampen our experience, and Joanne was so knowledgeable and welcoming. Worth the trip, worth the money, can't recommend this enough. Thankyou so much.

Such an incredibly special morning spent meeting the birds at Kintail Birds of Prey. We had a personal tour by the extremely knowledgeable Joanne, who introduced us to each bird and explained a bit about them while allowing them to perch on our gloves. After this, she showed us how to get the birds to fly to our hands in the open flying area. Our highlights were the tiny Little Owls and the majestic Golden Eagle, Heidi. My wee girl Emma was absolutely over the moon with the whole experience. Highly recommend a visit!
