My 17 year old Loakes had a commando resole aged 9. Polished and loved these are super comfortable.But I needed another pair and Cheaney’s Avon C with commando soles are perfect.Comfortable from day 1. And a fair price - these are top quality English products English jobs. Looked after they’ll last 18 years.So “cost per wear” cheaper than Clarkes/other rubbish made in Vietnam/China/Turkey single use un-repairable.Great shop & staff thank you.

Fabulous little shop! Amazing selection of great quality shoes. The staff are so lovely, Ruth and particularly Paul helped us out with purchasing our groomsmen shoes for our wedding. My husband-to-be has found his new favourite shoe shop!

Fantastic service. Posted shoes on a Saturday to have new heels put on. Received an email on Monday morning confirming the repairs had been done (photos included of before and after). Received shoes back, by post. on Wednesday!

Had some Jeffery West boots re-soled with these guys - outstanding job. Full sole renewal and heel block, returning the boots back to A1 condition. Ready when they said they would be - highly recommended!

Only went in for a look but came out with a new pair of Loake brogues. Great service, some good advice generally regarding shoe polish, no pressure whilst browsing and a good range of quality footwear. If these last as long as my first pair, which are over 25 years old and counting, they will be able to bury me in them.This place is well worth a visit if in Ilkley.

Resoled the Dainite soles on a couple of Crockett and Jones boots via post, and both times the quality of work by Paul & team were excellent. The communication over email was great as well. Come to think of it, doing a resole by post was actually more convenient than going to my local cobbler and having to pick it up from there, and the quality by Ilkley was fantastic.

Sent a pair of Tricker’s Chelsea Boots in I’d bought second hand into Paul at The Ilkley Shoe Company to be resoled and have some stitching repaired.What a great job and such a fast turnaround. Really impressed with the service and quality of the work and the very good value for money.Highly recommend.
