Mossley

Nice and welcoming pubs, bars and restaurants within walking distance of the train station. I recommend The Gillery (bar with food & free Pac Man) and the Red Rose (Indian restaurant). Emmaus is over the road from the station, nip in for a pre loved bargain or their fund raising “Soup Night “, their website will tell you more. The excellent San Giorgio’s Italian restaurant is a short walk (up hill) from the station.Bring your dog, your family and an ordinance survey map as there are great, safe walks too.Seel Park, the home of Mossley AFC is easy from the station but up hill... lots of Mossley is.Visit for one of the one off events, the whit Friday band contest in June or the lantern parade in November.Feel free to ask me about any of the things mentioned and I will answer as soon as I possibly can.

Ticket office staff are always helpful. It's clean and tidy but no lifts to train platforms so if you come from Manchester or Liverpool or want to travel to Huddersfield and cannot use stairs you have to use a different station

Station staff are wonderful, welcoming and helpful. The station itself is OK with at least reasonably sizeable undercover areas. However, my biggest gripe is that the electronic board telling you when your train is expected was installed directly behind a lamp post, meaning almost wherever you're stood on the platform it's difficult to see when your train's ETA is. Annoying to say the least.

Staff here are great however facilities are not. No toilets. No disabled access have to carry pram over bridge and down steps. Also avoid using the car park as the traffic signals to exit the station only change after 15 mins
