Had a fantastic day clay pigeon shooting and axe throwing (with the addition of beginner knife throwing)Mark was a great instructor, he created a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and go again in the future!

My son and I had a great afternoon with Mark learning the basics of shotgun use and clay pigeon shooting. As complete beginners, he patiently took us though all the basics, the workings of guns, shooting protocols, and health & safety. In a remarkably short time he had us hitting clays with regularity and when we missed, through his good humoured explanations, understanding clearly why.A fascinating introduction, and an exciting and safe confidence-building experience. Looking forward to the next visit.

I took an introductory lesson in clay target shooting in March this year with Mark. The day was fun, interesting…easy targets being accessible for a beginner, more difficult ones being challenging enough to catch your interest and make you want to go back for more. So I did go back for a weekly series of lessons at the range near West Calder. Mark has been shooting and teaching for many years and it shows in his lessons…he always made the day fun and interesting, by having a good variety of angles, trajectories and backgrounds to shoot, and by knowing when to move on to a different target when I consistently shot (or failed to shoot) a particular one. He is a friendly, chatty guy and his instructional style reflects this…often giving an analogy with another sport or activity you may have done to get a learning point across.The venue itself was a nice place to be…a windfarm in open countryside, with forested areas nearby. The farm whose land it’s on has friendly owners…and they sell lovely free range duck and hen eggs.I enjoyed the experience enough to take up the sport and apply for a shotgun certificate and that is partly down to how enjoyable and interesting the lessons were. Mark’s knowledge of the sport and ability to impart that knowledge in an accessible way are excellent. He was patient and polite in his teaching and generally a very positive guy to be around.First class!

Great Air weapon session with Mark, professionally delivered and loads of fun too. Took time to direct and let us find our own way with aiming and setting up, great for myself and a teenager!!! would highly recommend and will be back soon

Had a great morning of shooting as a birthday gift. I wasn’t sure if I would be a good shot, but after some very good instruction I was dusting the clays almost every shot. I would highly recommend a visit, very satisfying!

As an American who's been to plenty of ranges and courses, this was hands down the best experience I've had.We had an opening in our schedule while in Edinburgh and reached out for a lesson for 4 guys. Mark, the owner, was fast to reply and accommodated our last minute booking with pleasure.At the farm, which was itself a fantastic area to spend an afternoon, we were greeted by Mark with enthusiasm.Before we began, Mark took the time to explain all of the safety and basic shotgun procedures in a clear and relatable way. He fitted each of us on his Beretta 686, gave us ear protection and eye protection, and we were on our way.We kept score using cards provided by Mark, which added to the fun.Mark did a phenomenal job explaining each type of shot and how to trace it. He gave feedback after each shot or two with simple tips and tricks to improve on the next, with great result. He was extremely knowledgeable, approachable, friendly, and supportive. His love of the sport was evident at every step.I highly recommend this program for anyone interested in learning/practicing/improving in a beautiful and friendly environment. It was worth every penny and then some! And it supports a great small business.Thank you for an excellent experience, Mark!

Had the absolute pleasure of Tom and Mark's company and tuition for my stag in june 18.I've been clay shooting before but never had the level of teaching these guys offer, they are head and shoulders above anywhere else I've ever been.These two instructors are at the top of their game and didn't just give us a gun and watch, they taught us how to shoot the best way possible. Thay had us smashing clays within our first few shots and got the best out of all of us. 11 of us went and everyone of our group said it was by far the best bit of our 3 day stag tour of Scotland. We'd all love to come back again.some of our group were pretty uninterested in shooting until we went there but we all hugely enjoyed it. If you are thinking of going shooting or looking for an event for a stag or group then I would strongly recommend you check these proper professionals out. they wernt anymore expensive than anywhere else and really made the weekend for us.Thank you Tom and MarkI can't find you guys on trip advisory to leave a review there sorry. did Google (how I found you) and Facebook as well

Came for a stag do last year (im in the picture) and had an amazing day. I live in Mexico, but would go back in a heartbeat. The people were amazing, and so easy to get to know - and they were incrediblyskilled. A new respect for shooting - i was a novice, but they had me hitting targets even though i had never held a gun before.Wonderful day, highly, highly reccommended.
