Bark House Mountain Base
First review. For anyone interested in this place if it pops up on your sat nav etc.It is opened by national trust volunteers during the day for walkers who are hiking nearby. The facilities include a warm open coal fire, seating, hot drinks, water and maps of the area/entire Lake District national park. All they ask if for a small donation to help maintain the facility if you do use any facilities on site. A great place to take a welcome break if you have spent hours on the fells!
