LAB - Little and Beautiful Theatre

Matilda was superb! The level of performance and production achieved by the young company was terrific, really seemed professional. Music, lighting and set design were fabulous contributors too, showing how many pieces fit together to make a winning show. Topping all that, the cast were clearly having a brilliant time!

LAB Theatre is absolutely awesome! Our daughter had a fantastic experience. The whole program was managed with incredible professionalism. The children had an awesome, fun time with Helen and the entire team at the theatre, putting on a great show. It was a brilliant opportunity for her and we would do it again! Little and Beautiful is one of the most innovative and inspiring activities my children have ever been involved in. We have taken part for the last two years and both my children have loved every minute. The rehearsals are fun and you see your children’s confidence grow steadily every week. The productions themselves are unbelievable - so professional from make up and set design to the scripts and the incredible original songs. I could not recommend the LAB team highly enough.

Working with LAB is an absolutely wonderful experience. Each child is infused with creativity and facilitated to work to the highest standards. I have worked with a lot of children's theatre groups and this is by far the most unique and inspiring company I have come across. I was blown away by the quality of the performances and the original script and music - you will not be disappointed to work with Helen and LAB.

LAB is an amazing initiative to boost young talents and give them a platform to shine and consolidate their passion in a very lovely, high quality and incredibly professional environment.

Our 12 year-old son joined Little and Beautiful last year and had a fantastic time. Initial auditions were followed by weekly weekend rehearsals in the summer term, an intensive rehearsal week during the first week of the school holidays and culminated in two full weekend performances of Matilda. The teaching and training received was highly professional resulting in a polished and progressional performance by the group at the end. Having two casts created plenty of opportunities for children to be involved with speaking parts. Lots of new friends were also made and this year's course already signed up for.

Little and Beautiful is one of the best things I've ever been a part of and is always a highlight of my year. I have been lucky enough to be part of LAB since they opened in 2018 and have performed in all 3 of their productions. The team of teachers are all incredible and bring out the best in all of the children, making the rehearsals fun and creating an amazing production at the end of the few months. Putting on the performances is always such a rewarding and exciting experience and is made even better by accompaniment from a wonderful live band, professional lighting and costume/makeup. Taking part in LAB sparked my love of musical theatre and is now something I hope to pursue as a career. I cannot recommend Little and Beautiful more highly!

My daughter loved her time with LAB last year and can't wait for this year's production to start! The production was amazing, so professional, and the skill and talent of all the teachers is fantastic. It's been a really great experience for her, and we are so glad to have found LAB!

Such a great company which I have been blessed to do some work with. Helen gives the participants a wonderful sense of belonging and every child knows that they are valued and important. The LAB team strike the balance between product and process perfectly.
