Grand Felda House - Wembley Student Accommodation

Multiple siting of rats in the building, bins (landfill on courtyard) are absolutely disgusting, they never fix anything even after reporting maintenance and emailing. They will fix things when copy CRM (their bosses) themselves in an email though. Lifts broken for weeks, nothing in our flat has been fixed for months now. Rudest staff I’ve ever met, do not live here, cinema room isn’t ever working, common room has broken ovens that they will never fix, yeah don’t move here it’s awful.

Pro’s- Good location in Wembley- Night Security team are amazing (shoutout bilal & team)-Pool attached to gym finally reopened-wifi speed (150mbs when quiet)- events are decent!- day staff (myriam & maintenance team are the goats!!! )Cons- The Staff back in 2021 were amazing…not to say the staff currently are great but there has been a lack of communication, support & due care with residents at times.- management has changed hands multiple times leaving staff members constantly changing with some staff members not lasting a week due to rudeness to students- the lifts and escalators are a nightmare (they break sometimes and don’t get fixed for a week or so)-water supply cuts out at times and doesn’t get fixed for a good couple of hours at timesIt may seem there is more negative than positive but I do appreciate this accommodation as it’s housed me throughout university. It’s just lost that touch during the pandemic which could springboard it to the top of the Wembley accommodations as some students leave to other accommodations nearby. Management should go back to the drawing board.Recently AUG 2023, Horrible Bin issue. According to multiple staff members ‘crm didn’t pay for it to be collected’ and sat there for a weekOverall 1/5 - honestly wouldn’t recommend unless they fix things.

The accommodation is nice but staffs are unhelpful and careless. Every time I tried to contact them via email, it took so long to get responded. Some of the emails were not even responded until now. The lift was often broken. It was broken more than 3 times when I lived there. I was stuck in the lift once for 20 minutes. Some staffs do not keen to work at all. Once they refused to find my parcel even though I insisted that I have not collected it. It turned out that they out the wrong room number on my parcel. Another time, I asked where trolley is. The staff told me to walk around and find it myself. I had already walked around and I saw none of them. Then the staff said 'then I don't know'.For now, I cannot log in to my account to get my deposit back and I have already tried using the 'forget my password'. There was no response at all. I have emailed them for a week and I have not got replied ☹️

Horrendous place to live, don’t let the slightly cheaper room prices fool you, pay the extra £10 a week for somewhere nicer.Got scammed before I even moved in, paid a deposit on a specific room type but was called weeks after to be told they had sold out and I had to pick another type, none of which I wanted however I was refused a refund. This room type was still being advertised even after they called so would love to know how many more people were scammed like this.Most importantly living here is horrendous. The area is decent enough and very well connected with public transportation but the accommodation is awful. Firstly it took over a month to provide us with cards to be able to access the laundry facilities with minimal communication on when this would be resolved. Secondly lifts always have several problems and never seem to get fixed in adequate time. Similarly problems in flats are often ignored and don’t get resolved. My flats freezer was broken for months and it took daily emails and formal complaints for it to be fixed. Still awaiting our shower to be fixed which has been broken since moving in. Finally the bin situation is absolutely disgusting and I’m fairy sure would be considered a health and safety hazard. Completely unhygienic and disgusting. Photos show the situation from two separate occasions this year.There is also a huge lack of social opportunities, common room was closed for the first couple of months of living here and even with flat mates there is little space to socialise within the flats.

I had a pleasant stay at the Platinum studio of the Grand Felda House in Wembley. It was the best location with a convenient locality and close proximity to public transport. I enjoyed my stay at the accommodation. However, I had very important concerns about firstly, upon landing after a 10-hour flight and 3 hours of immigration, I was treated with minimal communication by the reception staff. Nobody was ready to guide or help me, I wasn’t even given a tour of the place to view the facilities. I wasn’t even told about trollies to take my luggage and boxes up so I had to manually make multiple trips up and down. The shower wasn’t repaired for 2 days straight and was kept dismantled. The fridge was like a cupboard and the heater didn’t work during Winter, which is laughable. Very rude staff! (Only the security and night staff were doing a great job). Some areas were not even cleaned and this was the most expensive room of all with zero botheration. The stay could have been excellent considering the facilities and accommodation, but was ruined because of a lethargic staff. Only 1-2 people actually speak to you properly and the security staff are excellent with their duties; firm yet polite. Secondly, I DO NOT appreciate the fact that Shanique from the reception staff would go into my room multiple times. I would detect that someone entered my room via the bathroom light being left on. She probably thought I was at uni and took advantage of this situation, until one day I caught her red-handed. She entered my room with her master key. I was shocked to see her and was alarmed at this incident. Thank god I wasn’t doing anything personal. As per protocol, anybody entering the room has to knock thrice and shout out the purpose of wanting to enter like Maintenance or Security after every knock. None of it was done and she had the master key around her neck. I have seen her roam like this and come out from the second floor as well. Imagine in reality how many times this was done! The authorities should be thankful that I did not make a big deal about this incident. But it is HIGHLY NOT Professional. Please do not keep staff members who are sly and come to use the rooms like this. I paid a bomb not for her comfort during work. I even addressed this on mail but no apology was given for this dishonest behaviour. She is extremely rude disrespectful and absurd with an unnecessary attitude, not just with students but also with her fellow colleagues. You must understand that students rely on you and your services, if this is the service and you have staff relaxing in rooms that we spent so much money on, then I suggest use other accommodations. There are better ones too.

It used to be a good place to live. However, the quality of living here has noticeably declined since then.The rubbish issue occurs at least three times since this August. It's unclear what's happening with the management this year.The lift is frequently broken. This year block B normally has only one working lift. Occasionally all lifts are broken, leaving students climbing stairs to upper floors. Some of my friends were even stuck in the lift for half an hour. Isn’t this potentially a security issue?

Great accommodation! The check-in/booking experience was great. The facilities are great and the room is so comfortable. The staffs are really nice and helpful. If I get a problem, they would solve the problem as soon as possible.I can't find my wallet several days ago, and I really don't remember where it is. I thought it should have been in my room because I barely take it outside. After searching my room some times, I emailed staffs.And they find it for me after less than half an hour. It was in the room that I have lived in two week ago. I appreciate Mireille, Lorraine and the whole staffs so much. Sorry, I don't know all of the staffs' name. But really thank you very much. You are the best!

Really good place to live for students. Sam & Dom were amazing, always helpful. The only reason for giving 2 stars is for Shanique Gillette who is on the reception. She is really rude, have no manners how to talk to people. Her behavior is very biased and she behaves very badly with all the Asians. I have faced very rude behavior and have seen her behaving badly to more than 25/30 people and all Asians - Indians/Chinese.Management should really fire her. I have so many friends staying there and all had a bad experience only because of this person Shanique Gillette. This person is going to take down your tenants good experiences. But for a fact I know the management won’t do anything because this was done in front of higher management and they didn’t even care.

As a parent, it was important that my daughter's accommodation was right for her. Grand Felda House ticked all the boxes, fantastic location, ideally placed for access to the city and her university. Great value for money and more importantly it felt a safe space for her to live. Her studio was immaculately clean and a good size. All in all great value for money.
