Children's Urgent Care Centre - The Portland Hospital

Our daughter came here for adenoids surgery. We came in at 10am and were out by 3pm. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and we had no issues. Our nurse Myrose took good care of us.The facilities are a small pod room with 2 chairs and a sink, and there is a communal bathroom close by. For day surgery I think this is sufficient and everything was clean.Food is provided for the patient and 1 parent. The food is of high quality and tea and coffee is available free as is water.Overall our experience was easy and hassle free.The hospital is just within the congestion charge zone which can be slightly problematic but we were lucky to come in at the weekend.

The staff were fantastic. Stuart was really friendly, he as a great personality, made us feel nice and comfortable also was really informative on everything we needed to do before and after the operation. The doctors were the same. I wouldn't ask for anything different. Wonderful group of staff.

The care was amazing and a big thank you to Pip Brain - the most wonderful nurse! She was so caring and made our daughter feel relaxed from the moment we got there. Thank you Pip!

Wonderful staff and facilities. Exceptionally kind and helpful.From reception to the play team, the nurses and hospital staff, everyone was polite, helpful and comforting.Food for child and parent was good and thoughtful.

Fabulous care from start to finish. Comelia was so lovely and caring. Cara the ‘play’ assistant who helped explain to the children what will happen etc and came down with them to theatre too was fabulous. Whole anaesthetist and surgery team were also amazing and kept us informed from start to finish and ensured my daughter had input and felt confident with everything that was going on. Thank you

Spoke to a triage nurse at 10am today.She was brilliant.Great suspected diagnosis of transient synovitis as my son had a limp after playing football without any trauma and awoke with these symptoms first. Suggested an immediate treatment plan, and navigated us to appropriate treatment plan if ongoing concerns and poor response to immediate treatment plan.Thank you Nurse - you were very professional in your approach

Our doctor and his team took excellent care of our child . The Nurse made every effort to make our child feel relaxed and at ease during their stay. Next day was followed with a courtesy call checking on our child’s well-being. Thank you.

Great service, our nurse Cornelia was very kind and professional. All the staff that dealt with us were very exemplary. They all took very good care of our daughter. The facilities are amazing too.

Stuart looked after our son during recovery after his MRI and he was absolutely amazing and so kind with our son & caring. All the staff were brilliant here and we was really happy with all their help! Thank you all
