Sadly no longer maintained but swimmable with care in summer months. For the less adventurous Interesting place to stop and take in the view when walking the two miles along the coastal path from St Monans to Pittenweem

Nice coastal walk, lots of history take a picnic, not many places for tea and coffee, closed on occasion plenty of parking lovely harbour

Even on a grey day, there were people coming and going from swimming in this lovely tidal pool. Reasonably easy access from village end. Cold but refreshing. Closest carpark is very small. Better to walk down from further car park.

I visited here today for the first time, it was amazing. Beautiful experience swimming in this pool. Will definitely be back

Nice walk, even if the weather was playing up. This would be a great spot on a warm day.If you like rock-pooling, definitely a must see. The rocks are great for anyone in to geology. Lots of variety and I spotted a few little fossiled bits hangibg about

Absolutely fantastic visit to St Monans Pools today. Walking boots or wellies are an absolute must as anything else will we dangerous.Lots of great wildlife to spot while walking, if into birds it's definitely worth talking some binoculars and Fisher's guide to British birds.All kinds of crustaceans in the pools, well worth exploring!

Oh my goodness, what a beutiful hidden gem. I came here for a swim and we had planned 10-20minutes max as we said it will be too cold. We were still in 40mins later.For our first time we loved it. Sea shoes are needed but great for all swimmers as the depth didn't really change and this was a couple of hours before high tide.We left our change of clothes on the steps and no problems with security.The only thing I would say is changing at end. Either wear a big furry jacket at the end or a towel as people are always watching from above.A perfect day out, deffo come back again.

Absolutely stunning tidal pool for a dip. Felt really calm and confident that it was clean. So well restored with new lovely comfortable benches to sit and relax or get changed on. There's also a small playground at one end to entertain little kids if you have them with you.
