Been to lulworth many times but this was the first time visiting the restaurant. Can honestly say it was shocking! The food arrived within a couple of minutes of ordering which would suggest it’s not made freshly.I had the fish & chips, the fish batter was underdone and soggy, chips were soggy as they slopped the fish on top of the chips. There was literally only like 5 chips anyway. My partner had the cray fish spaghetti - it was shocking. Literally just plain buttery spaghetti with a couple of cray fish dotted around - also it was all cut up as if you’d serve it to a child? Which was confusing.Calamari starter was horrid, tasted weird. The only good thing that was actually piping hot and felt fresh was the onion rings! For the price, it was just completely shocking! Food & service was so bad. I would not recommend this place at all!Better off grabbing some fish and chips from one of the many chippys dotted around the cove.Save your money, don’t come here.Such a shame as the location is stunning! This could be so much better.

Beautiful little hotel and pub only a few minutes walk from the cove. The rooms are modern but would suggest not going for the double beds (not even sure they have them as directed to double on website) if possible as large gap between the mattresses. The restaurant was great, fantastic steak and pie. The service was very good as well.

Stopped in for a few drinks, ended up ordering the calamari, which despite giving me just 5 pieces (thank goodness), gave me FOOD POISONING!! Just 4 hours later!! I know it was the calamari because I was fine all morning and didn’t eat anything else that afternoon. I’m on vacation and this place disrupted it now by two days. Stay away from the food!

Booked for 8.45. Arrived at 8.45. Miserable man in black and white checked shirt said kitchen closed at 8.30. No other local options to eat. Then the Saint of good hospitality arrived at the bar. Name of Sean. Asked chef to cook for us. Thank you Sean. Thank you Chef. You both deserve the full 5* review. You are very much appreciated. Man in black and white checked shirt: Maybe the hospitality industry is not for you.

Lovely overnight stay but 6:45am early noisy bin lorry collectionWe wanted to beak up the journey home. Have a good nights sleep. The bedroom itself was so beautifully thought out. So loved it and yes, of course, we did have a bath! Room 7.We came back after we spotted this Inn when we did the ‘walk’ last time and thought we should stay if we came back this way.Lovely place. Great food. My GF double cheese burger was huge. Delicious and so tender and tasty.Hubby had the (normal)fish and chips and said it was as good as Rick Steins if not better! The nights sleep was lovely until 6:45am!Woke up with a refuse lorry outside our window emptying the bins at 6:45am!As they emptied more than one the noise went on too long and so we couldn’t get back to sleep. Totally get they have to empty bins early as tourists & cars arrive shortly! Just was unexpected. Then the water pipes kicked off!Great shower and bathroom products. Lovely hot water Good hairdryer.Lovely breakfast. Good friendly service. Lots of cute ornaments dotted around. Nice and homey. So we would come back again definitely. Just not on bin day (front of building) and on a lower floor perhaps?Other than that it was a lovely stay.

The Lulworth Cove Pub Restaurant is an establishment located in the heart of the picturesque village of Lulworth. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a cozy pub feel. The restaurant has a large outdoor patio that is perfect for dining on a warm summer day.The food is classic pub fare. I had the battered fish and chips. The chips were crispy and golden brown but the better could have been fried a while longer which could be to do with them being very busy. The portion size was good. The service was alright and it seemed a bit rushed on the day I visited. The restaurant was very busy, and it seemed like the staff were trying to accommodate everyone as quickly as possible. This resulted in a few minor errors, such as forgetting to bring me the lemon for my fish.

Was expecting so much more from this pub, especially as it's situated where it is. Firstly the toilets were disgusting. One toilet was block, all but one cubicle had toilet paper and there was no soap in the dispenser. There was a staff member in the toilet at the time but they didn't address any of the issues. Just used it and left. Food was ordered and arrived within a few minutes which would suggest it was just a warm up job rather than being freshly made. One person in my group ordered the fish and chips - they probably has about 10 chips on their plate only. For the price paid, you'd expect more. I ordered the pesto linguine, it's was ok - could have made it better myself at home. Overall, it wasn't a great experience. I definitely wouldn't visit here again or recommend to anyone either.

We couldn’t fault this pub. We received a lovely warm greeting on arrival and our room was ready early. We were shown to our beautiful seaside themed room with lovely homely touches like a Lulworth postcard keepsake and a stuffed toy fox on the bed! It also had a DAB radio, a flatscreen wall mounted TV of a decent size, a ‘proper’ kettle, stripped back floorboards, rugs, throws, the most amazing shower and the comfiest bed ever! The pub is conveniently located close the the cove, shops, museum and lots of coastal walks. We chose to dine in the pub in the evening and we weren’t disappointed. We had THE best meal. 3 courses and each one as amazing, tasty and as beautifully presented as the last. The staff were really friendly and we even got a complimentary drink from the bar. The pub is so pretty and there’s so many things to look at and interesting photos and pictures adorning the walls. We will definitely be back. Thank you to all of you for making our stay so wonderful :)

The service was good - the staff we dealt with were lovely and very patient of our 2 families and 4 kids. The fish and chips was disappointing, considering we are next to the sea - the batter was undercooked and the fish tasted fishy. Was almost like it was from the frozen section of a supermarket rather than fresh. The chips were delicious though. We ordered 2 kids meal cheeseburgers that came with no cheese - we asked the staff and they brought 2x cheese slices on a plate. We also had to chase the kids ice cream 3 times.I don't think we would go back but it's a nice pub, great location and lots of space - the garden was walk in so we were able to get a space for 9 of us even though the inside was fully booked.

Terribly slow service, took over an hour to get our mains from the time we ordered and had to chase it. Fish and chips was OK but how you can make peas quite like that I've no idea. Beautiful summer's evwning and peak season, pub was almost empty and some (not all) of the staff were rude and dismissive. No wonder it was almost empty, such a waste of a beautiful location.
