BANN created a large open plan kitchen/diner from three previously connected rooms. Steel was added to support the new structure, new flooring laid, and a new kitchen / patio doors fitted.BANN were very professional in all their dealings with me and responded to questions / issues quickly as they arose. They acted as a partner in the project rather than a contractor looking to maximize profits. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

We have had a wonderful experience working with James and the Bann Group. The team which handled the complete renovation of our Edinburgh house was a joy to work with. Especially as it all happened during the pandemic with the added complications of us doing everything at arms length sight unseenfrom our home in the USA. The Bann team were creative, timely, clean and tidy as well as being highly responsive and respectful of the other owners in the building. We can’t speak highly enough of the whole process and the first class results. If we did another project we would have no hesitation about working with them again.

Bann undertook extensive building works as per our architect's warrant drawings to help create our new kitchen and bathroom.Works included:- demolition and removal of brick walls- install of numerous steel beams as per structural engineer's drawings- plumbing including underground drainage, new cast iron downpipes, new boiler and underfloor heating- new electrics and consumer unit- joinery including new stud partitions, ceilings, floors and the reuse of our doors and facings to match the rest of the house- all plastering- amazing reinstatement of an original cornice!James is trustworthy and straightforward to deal with. His team are all very friendly and highly professional and we were very happy with the quality of all workmanship. Ours was a tricky build and I have no hesitation in recommending Bann.

I hired Bann Joinery to create an atrium for me by removing an old cupola and replacing it with a structural glass floor. It was an unusual project and not without unforeseen complications. James and his team were a pleasure to deal with throughout the project and were always amenable to listening to any issues which I wanted to discuss.I then hired them again in order to fit a landscape window replacing the 2 small windows which previously looked onto said atrium.I am delighted with the outcome of their work and plan to hire them again for future projects.

Very Professional team, great complete renovation and structural work (especially good joinery). They know how to deal with heritage buildings and were very easy to work with throughout. Would thoroughly recommend for all kinds of projects.

Bann Joinery recently completely refurbished my shower room. They were quick, efficient and very neat and tidy. I would recommend James and his team to anyone requiring work done to a high standard.

Having received our full works schedule, the owner asked to view the property. We met on site and after a though review of the property and the schedule, he said that he wanted to return with his QS so that they could submit a quotation. 4 days later we received an email from him saying that Bann only did full strip outs. What a waste of our time and no thought of trying to preserve any of the building's existing fabric. So much for re-cycling.

Having previously used Bann in 2014-15 and 2018 to carry out extensive refurbishment work to a Grade A listed flat and being delighted with the end result, I was happy to get them back for a similar Grade A first floor drawing room conversion in Abercromby Place. The refurbishment included full rewiring, re-plumbing, new floors, cornice restoration, new windows/joinery, and redecoration. James was as ever amenable, flexible and easy to talk to. The end result is spectacular (see photos). Will use again in future. Highly recommended.

We were very impressed by the team at Bann Joinery following a kitchen strip out and relocation. Professional, trustworthy and downright helpful guys who would stop work to explain what they were doing and how the project was progressing. On time and on budget despite us throwing a few extras at them such as tearing up flagstone floors and digging out a wall to find a fireplace. James has a 'can do' attitude.We are using Bann again shortly to replace a ceiling and wooden flooring damaged in a flood. There shall be no hesitation about moving out and letting them get on with the job.

We recently had a new staircase installed along with getting an engineered wood floor put down. From our initial meeting with James we felt very confident that we had found a building company who we could trust. Work commenced when expected and was completed in good time and to a great standard.In particular John and Matt who completed the work were really friendly and hard working. We were kept informed the whole time and about any complications and any questions were quickly brought to my attention.I'd very much recommend using BANN and I'm looking forwards to using them again in the future.
